Drip irrigation with your hands

Recently, due to global warming, the temperature in the world increases by about one degree Celsius per year. It is not surprising that more and more plants, for optimal biomass recruitment, need watering. However, gardeners often can not spend much time growing plants, so people want to automate the process of water supply of plants and rationally use the consumed resources. The optimal solution here is to make drip irrigation with your own hands from the available parts. Of course, there are also industrial versions of drip irrigation, but their use is not always appropriate because of the high cost price. Drip irrigation with their own hands is not as difficult as it might seem at first sight. Its essence lies in the supply of portions of moisture directly under the root, which eliminates evaporation and provides a low water flow.

Materials that we need to install such an amazing design as drip irrigation with your own hands: a tap, a filter, a hose, droppers, a plug, clamps. Tools: an awl, scissors, screwdriver and, depending on the installed water supply system, the tools for the tie-in. Namely, a knife for cutting plastic pipes and a plastic-metal or Bulgarian adapter, a set of forks, a tee and an American. So, we connect the tap at the place of the tap into the water supply system. Although the system will work constantly, do not forget that for preventive cleaning of nozzles and connecting new consumers, you may need to stop the water supply. Further we put the filter, this element can be excluded, if the budget pushes, but in this case cleaning of nozzles should be done more often. After the filter we mount a hose for transporting moisture to the plants - consumers. At the customer's place, make a hole in the hose and connect the dropper. The holes can be arbitrarily large. At the end, the hose is a blind plug, to prevent water from escaping. It should be taken into account that the drip irrigation system, by its own hands, as opposed to stationary installations, provides for the placement of consumers in any place where it is required, there are holes in the main line. Homemade drip irrigation does not require dismantling for a cold period of time. The above system is optimal for a garden or small farm. Of course, it is possible to supplement it a little with an electric valve, a relay and an electrical contact manometer. We mount an electric valve after the water supply tap, and a manometer at the end of the water system in front of the plug. In the relay on the control contacts we connect the pressure gauge, and on the power contacts the valve. We put the pressure gauge on approximately one kilogram of pressure, it is possible less, provided that the main pressure is below the established norms of one and a half kilograms. Such a supplement of the water supply system will allow to save even more water consumption, although it will increase the initial costs.
Just drip irrigation with their own hands can be arranged in a simpler way: from the leaky hoses available in the farm, which you can not use anywhere else, but you do not feel like throwing it away. You can bury them in the ground, connecting one end to the water main, and the second to muffle and along them to make beds. The land on such a bed will always be wet, which will ensure a high survival rate of plants in the hot season.

Thus, by equipping drip irrigation with your own hands on the farm, you can significantly increase the yield, free up your strength and time for other necessary work, ensure yourself the freedom to choose a site visit at its remote location and just get the opportunity to spend the saved minutes and even hours for rest.
