Subsidiaries of Aeroflot: basic information

Aeroflot is one of the oldest airlines in the world. Its history begins back in 1923. To date, this state-owned enterprise has in its subordination an impressive list of subsidiaries. Most of them provide flights to internal destinations. However, there are many carriers at the disposal of the national corporation that make flights abroad. Let's consider what information is known about the subsidiaries of Aeroflot, listed below.

"Russia"

Let's start by reviewing Aeroflot's subsidiaries from airlines called "Russia." This enterprise is based at the airport of St. Petersburg - Pulkovo. It is at this point that the bulk of the company's fleet is concentrated. Another, less large-scale dock for the carrier is the Vnukovo airport, which is located in Moscow. It is noteworthy that all flights of Rossiya are carried out on behalf of the state-owned enterprise Aeroflot.

Based on the results of the previous year, the carrier transported more than 4.5 million passengers. Today, according to this indicator, the airlines "Russia" occupy the sixth place in the country among not only budgetary, but also the largest domestic airlines.

As for the geography of flights of air carriers, its fleet carries out regular flights to 25 cities of Russia and provides communication with dozens of foreign points.

"Victory"

"Victory" is a subsidiary of Aeroflot, which has the status of a budget airline. The enterprise was founded in 2014 instead of the "Dobrolyt" organization that ceased its work, which crashed because of European Union sanctions in punishment for organizing flights from Simferopol abroad.

The company "Victory" has at its disposal one of the most "young" fleets in the country. As of early 2016, the average age of the company's liners was only 1.8 years.

Observing the affiliated companies of Aeroflot, it is worth noting that the Pobeda airlines today have the status of the safest in the country. With the liners of the organization, there were no extraordinary incidents that would lead to damage to equipment, damage to passengers or crew members. The only unfortunate incident in the history of Pobeda is the departure of the aircraft outside the runway, which occurred after landing on the Moscow-Cheboksary flight on November 11, 2016. As a result of the incident, the liner personnel had to resort only to the rapid evacuation of passengers.

"Aurora"

Considering the subsidiaries of Aeroflot, we should note the organization Aurora. The fleet of the latter is based simultaneously in several cities, namely Khabarovsk, Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk and Vladivostok. The company was formed in 2013 as a result of a merger of airlines called Vladivostok Air and Sakhalin Airways.

"Aurora" deals mainly with the organization of domestic flights. One of the main activities of the company is to provide communication between the largest cities of Siberia and the Far Eastern region of Russia. As for flights abroad, the Aurora Airlines planes carry out passenger and cargo flights to Japan, China and Korea.

Aeromar

Observing the subsidiaries of Aeroflot, one can not avoid the closed joint-stock company Aeromar. Unlike previous enterprises, which are subordinate to the domestic aviation corporation, the represented organization does not deal with the provision of flights. The scope of Aeromar's activities includes:

  • Provision of food for passengers of liners that are part of the Aeroflot group;
  • Maintenance, equipment and cleaning of aircraft;
  • The organization of trade on board aircraft and at airports;
  • consulting services.

Today Aeromar is one of the main subsidiaries of Aeroflot, which brings real profits to the national corporation, provides jobs for thousands of people.

Finally

So we reviewed the subsidiaries of Aeroflot. As can be seen, their bulk provides budget flights to internal destinations. At the disposal of the domestic aviation giant, there are those enterprises that organize international flights and provide services to passengers, as well as aircraft.
