Snack to whiskey and red wine. The difference is enormous

To each drink there is a set of dishes that are served with it. To popular drinks, such as red and white wine, champagne, dishes are served that are known to many and their choice is not difficult. For example, an excellent appetizer for red wine is cheese in any form. As for whiskey - here everything is much more complicated. Whiskey is not so often served drink, like wine or cognac. That is why a snack to whiskey can be a problem for those who decided to bring this drink to the table for the first time. There are no restrictions in the use of whiskey in time - it can be evening, lunch and even morning. If you eat it with food, you need to dilute it with water: 1/3 whiskey and 2/3 water. It is in this concentration that whiskey will perfectly match with food.

Snack to whiskey should be selected only depending on the type of drink, otherwise the taste and aroma will be lost. If an appetizer for whiskey is picked up incorrectly, the taste of the drink and the taste of food will be felt separately, and they should only complement each other, without overlapping or dividing. You can play in contrast: serve juicy with dry or sweet with bitter. If the appetizer for red wine is basically a hot dish or cheese, then an appetizer for whiskey is fruit and berries. They are the best of all other dishes complement the taste of the drink.

Here are a few options for serving these snacks:

1. Take about 150 grams of berries - it can be cherries, cherries, blueberries, raspberries, strawberries and even plums. Rinse them and remove the bones. Spread the berries on the vases and sprinkle with powdered sugar. The perfect snack for whiskey is ready.

2. It will be required:

Pineapple should be cut into slices and spread out in a wide vase with a fan. On the same dish, put out sockets with a syrup, made from rum, water and sugar.

5. You may be surprised, but a great snack for whiskey is baked apples. Required:

  • Apples - 700 grams
  • Sugar - 200 grams
  • Cranberry - 50 grams
  • Water - 50 grams.

Apples should be washed and dried. Then gently remove the core. Put apples on a baking sheet. Then, pour sugar into the holes from the removed core. Slightly sprinkle the apples with water. Bake it takes about 20 minutes. After this, the baked apples are transferred to the vases, and sprinkle with powdered sugar. Also with them you can serve whipped cream.

6. An interesting snack can be apricot marshmallow made by own hands. Required:

  • Apricots - 450 grams
  • Sugar - 150 grams
  • Flour - 350 grams
  • Butter - 200 grams
  • Eggs - 5 pieces
  • Sugar powder - 50 grams

Apricots need to be washed, welded and wiped through a sieve. In the resulting puree, add sugar and put it on the fire. You need to cook until the mashed potatoes are well thickened. Now whip the squirrels. Hot apricot puree with protein. In the resulting mass, add gelatin, previously diluted in water. Mix everything well and transfer it to a special confectionery bag.
