Syrup "Sinekod": composition, description

It contains components such as: glycerol, sodium saccharin, food flavoring (vanillin), sorbitol, sodium hydroxide, ethanol, benzoic acid, purified water and active ingredient butamate citrate, which has antitussive effect. Due to the blocking of the cough center located in the oblong part of the brain, bronchial arrest occurs, which facilitates the effective evacuation of sputum containing viruses, bacteria and blood cells that are responsible for the immune processes of our body (phagocytes and leukocytes).

When the syrup "Sinekod" is taken, the physiological work of the bronchial glands normalizes and the swelling of the bronchial mucosa decreases. After an hour and a half after the application of butamate, its maximum absorption into the small intestine occurs. Decomposition of the initial substance (hydrolysis) is carried out in blood cells with the formation of new active compounds.

During the treatment with butamate there is no cumulative effect (accumulation of the drug in the tissues and internal organs of a person). Approximately six hours later, the half-elimination of the drug through the kidneys occurs.
