The drug "Stimuloton", the price of which can be from 380 r, is an antidepressant. The active ingredient is sertraline hydrochloride. The drug, inhibiting the reuptake of serotonin, has a weak effect on the re-uptake of dopamine and norepinephrine. In the therapeutic dosage, the agent inhibits the binding of serotonin and platelets. The medication does not possess anticholinergic, sedative or stimulating effects. When receiving, there is no increase in the weight of the patient, and in some cases there is a decrease. In practice, there are no cases of dependence, there is also no withdrawal syndrome. Against the background of a regular intake of antidepressant effect appears in the second week. The maximum effect of the drug reaches six weeks later.

For elderly patients, dose adjustments are not required. When dysfunction of the liver is recommended to reduce the amount of the drug or increase the intervals between doses.

Contraindications
