As the most appropriate option, the initial filling of the system with distilled water is used. If there is not one, you can use a tap or rain.

Preparation of materials and devices for adjustment

Homemade electric heating boilers should be adjusted, but it is necessary to prepare materials and devices. Among them:

  • Stirring tank;
  • ammeter;
  • syringe;

In a coolant in small portions, you must start adding a solution of soda. The system must be well heated at the same time. If you used distilled water, this process takes a long time, so it is recommended to be patient.

Preparing for the production of an electric ion boiler

The homemade electric boiler for heating can be ionic, for it it is necessary to prepare not only the welding machine and electrodes, but also:

  • Iron tee;
  • Zero wire;
  • Earthing terminals;
  • Insulation for terminals;
  • Electrode insulation made of polyamide;
  • Clutch;
  • A pipe made of steel of appropriate dimensions.

Assembling

For such a boiler, grounding is required, but a zero cable must be fed to the outer pipe. It is important to remember that the phase must be applied to the electrodes. Pre-prepared pipe, the length of which is 25 cm, and the diameter is in the range of 8 to 10 cm, it is necessary to use the first.

Electrodes are located on one side, on the other hand a coupling is installed to connect to the main. To install the electrodes, it is necessary to use a tee, which will allow the input and output of the coolant. Near the electrode it is necessary to arrange an insulator, which will perform one more function - to seal the boiler.

For insulator it is necessary to use heat-resistant plastic. For the device, not only the tightness is important, but also the possibility of threaded connection of the tee and the electrode. The body should be welded with a large bolt, to which the zero cable and ground terminals are fixed.

If you want to improve reliability, you can fix a second bolt, using the same technology as in the case with the first. Once the connection to the heating system using a coupling is made, it is necessary to hide the equipment with a decorative coating. It is used not only for aesthetics, but also for ensuring safety, namely protecting a person from electric shock. Do not neglect this step, it is important to limit access to the generator.

Mounting

When the self-made electric boiler is made by hand , it is possible to start the installation work, for this purpose, it is necessary to install air vents, a fuse and a manometer. The shut-off valve must be installed after the expansion tank. The boiler should be placed vertically, which is due to the peculiarities of its operation. Fasteners must be installed so that they are separated from each other.

Before installing the unit, the heating system must be cleaned. For this, pure water is used, which is diluted with a special agent. If a contaminated coolant is used or when the line is poorly flushed, there is a chance that the ion boiler will lose its productivity.

When installing a home-made electric boiler at home, you can ground using a copper cable with a diameter of 4 mm or more. Its resistance should be 4 ohms or less. The cable should be connected to the zero terminal, which is located at the bottom of the device. Radiators are important to choose, given the volume of the system. The most suitable option would be 1 kW of power per 8 liters of total volume. If this indicator is exceeded, a self-made electric boiler for heating the house will work longer than required. This will cause an increase in electricity costs.

By arranging the heating system, it is recommended to choose bimetallic alloys or radiators from aluminum. The use of other materials is unacceptable, since they contain a lot of impurities that can adversely affect the electrical conductivity of the working fluid. When installing an open system, the radiators used must have a polymer coating on the inner walls, which will prevent the access of oxygen and prevent corrosion.

The closed system has no such drawbacks. A homemade electric boiler, made of a pipe, can not work together with cast iron radiators, because they contain impurities that can reduce the productivity of such equipment.
