What kind of dishes are traditionally called "roast" in Russian cuisine ? In Russia, any dish from animal meat cooked in an oven is called that way. We place the roll in a heated oven and while the pork is being cooked, we clean the potatoes.
After 40 minutes we lay out the potatoes around the roll, water it with the juice that was released during the frying, and send it back to the oven.

Roast pork with vegetables in a rustic way

As we have already mentioned, there are many ways of cooking fries. Today we offer you one more recipe, according to which you can easily prepare a tasty and satisfying second course for Sunday lunch or a home celebration.
In order to cook such a roast of pork with vegetables, we need a piece of meat fillet with fat, cabbage - 500 g, pepper Bulgarian - 250 g, onion - 2 pieces, several cloves of garlic, pepper, salt. Cabbage and onions thinly shinkuem, pepper pods cut into slices and put into shape. Add the pepper, salt and a little chopped garlic. On this pillow of vegetables we lay a piece of pork, pre-stuffed with pieces of garlic and rubbed with salt and black pepper. Put the dish in a preheated oven and bake. Readiness of meat is easy to check by piercing a piece with a fork.

Roast pork with mushrooms can be cooked in a similar way. Just replace one of the ingredients of this recipe or enter them into the dish in addition.


You can cook the roast from lamb or pork, but beef for this purpose is not too suitable, this meat is rather dry. As components of the fry can act not only mushrooms, onions or potatoes, but also any other vegetables. Perfect for this purpose carrots, cauliflower or broccoli, kohlrabi.
