Rewriting in the Russian-speaking and English-speaking Internet

Re-writing is the main way of obtaining texts for the promotion of a resource with articles on the Russian-language Internet. Moreover, to fill many sites only rewriting articles from other resources is used. Thousands of rewriters, wishing to earn at home without investment, work day and night, rewriting other people's texts. Often successful text is copied dozens of times. It happens that in the issuance of the search engine on the first page, there is nothing but a rewrite of the same material. However, in the English-speaking Internet such a method of obtaining texts has not received such a general spread. The reason for the toils is more effective protection of copyrights, only a low cost of rewriting for Western potential re -airers. However, we can not say that no one is engaged in rewriting. For example, recently an English-language site caught the eye of an article by one blogger and part-time rewriter. Interestingly, he reraises, almost as his invention. That's what he writes.

Em> I am often asked how I write content for my site. I rewrite articles from other sites. The fact is that writing an article and writing a noticeable good text are two different things. I want to say that I do not remake people's work mercilessly. I do not go far from the original. But this does not mean that you can take someone else's text, change a couple of words, and give it away for your own work. I do not want anyone to use this trick, that is, just paraphrase what someone wrote. You have a brain, use it. Be creative. Writing content for the site from scratch, it's very hard. Especially for those who are just beginning their activities. Rewrite allows you to focus on improvement instead of creating. You will start to write better, without hesitation, what exactly to write.

So, let's begin. Visit any page on any website. Almost any text can be improved. Take any of them. The content of some is quite acceptable, while others are simply disgusting. Study the text. Try to determine what mood or emotions it causes. Which words reinforce the feeling, and which do not? What words could you change to convey more emotion? Define the methods and style. What strategy did the writer choose? Short or long sentences did he use? Are there many adjectives or is the text very dry? Is there a better style that you could try to apply? Check the text structure. Is there a title? Does it match the text? Why? Read the introduction and see if it fulfills its task. Look at the breakdown by paragraph. Is this done correctly in terms of achieving maximum results? Is there a call to action in the end?

Now it's time for practice. Try changing the style. If the text you chose is authoritative and strong, make it more gentle and soft. If it's emotional, then make it more formal. If it's an academic style, make a story out of it. Try to make the text stronger. Remove excess water from the dough. Be merciless. Delete unnecessary words, cut out duplicate sentences and redundant expressions. Look at how brief you can be, while keeping the main idea. Now rephrase everything from top to bottom. Imagine that you were hired to make this content better. What would you write? How would you do this? Where can you improve the text and what should be left as is? It is important to know - to make the text better, you do not always need to rewrite everything. You can do with minimal changes. Sometimes replacing three words out of fifty completely changes the article. The more you practice rewriting, the more professional you become. Replace any source - textbooks, fiction, blog posts and so on. Soon enough, you can look at the page and say exactly what the author did, why, and what could have been done differently. Weak places will be obvious to you. You will become stronger as a writer. You can convey the idea in different ways and different styles.

It turns out that in Russia the usual work at home without attachments for copywriters, in the west something unprecedented. But the most interesting thing was to read the comments to the article.

Em> - Wow. I agree with almost everything that you wrote. Of course, I knew most of the articles written in the article, but to see it all in one place. And that you told us: "Overwrite, damn it!" This is an explosion for my brain. These tips can make me crazy. Thank you.
"Rewriting is a great occupation." I'm a big fan of removing water from texts, especially adjectives and adverbs. Brevity and clarity are key when it comes to the Internet. Most visitors come to get answers to their questions and move on.
- New tricks for the old dog.
- Editing is not a way to do something better. Rewrite is still copying.
- Rewriting can lose your style and your audience.
- Holy cow. I rewrote the text at the age of eleven and only now I learned that it is possible to fill the websites in this way. All. I start to make sites. Thank you very much for the post!
- An interesting method for improving skills. I love brevity. It's like chocolate ice cream on a hot summer day. I hate superfluous words and unnecessary metaphors.
"I think that's a great idea." I'm going to put a little experiment. From this Monday during the week I'll post only a rewrite in my blog. And humbly ask you to tell me if you notice the difference or not.
