Even beginning culinary experts know that cooking from a puff pastry is easy and simple. There are many recipes of traditional and modern dishes that do not require special knowledge or skills. From our article you will learn how to make a pie made of puff pastry with cheese and other fillings.

Khachapuri

Georgian cuisine is widely known all over the world, and its dishes are very popular. Khachapuri are pies made of puff pastry, the recipes of which in different parts of the country can differ greatly from each other. Sometimes the usual yeast dough is used as a basis, and the fish or meat is used as the filling. It is interesting that such baking can differ not only in composition, but also in form. We suggest that you prepare a classic pie made of puff pastry with cheese:

  • Take 500 grams of suluguni or a mixture of cheeses (feta, mozzarella and brynza), grind them with a grater. If you want, you can always add a little fresh cottage cheese to the filling.
  • Break one egg into cheese and add a spoon of melted butter. If you want a puff pastry with cheese to turn out fragrant, then add there the same grated garlic, greens and a little salt.
  • The dough roll on the table is not too thin, and then cut out the squares 15 by 15 cm with a knife.
  • Put the filling in the middle - do not be stingy and remember that the more there is in the cheese cake, the more delicious it will turn out.
  • Fold the dough with an envelope and pinch all four corners in the middle. Then again take the corners of the square and pull them to the middle. In the end, you should get a small round pie. Turn it upside down and gently roll it with a rolling pin.
  • Before cooking, the cake should be pierced several times with a fork and make a small hole in the center.
  • Fold the cakes on a baking tray, pat them with yolk and send to bake until a ruddy crust.

Puff pastry with onion and cheese

Even the beginning hostess will be able to cope with the preparation of this fragrant bake, and the time spent on preparing it will take very little.

  • First, prepare the filling: finely chop two large onions and fry them in a drop of vegetable oil, 150 grams of hard cheese grate, chop a large bunch of dill and beat in a separate bowl a chicken egg.
  • Roll out two sheets of the finished puff pastry and put one on a baking sheet, pre-covered with parchment.
  • The filling should be laid out in layers in such a sequence: first onion, then cheese, egg and greens.
  • Cover the future cake with a second sheet of dough, protect the edges and cut them evenly with a pizza knife. Do not forget to puncture and sprinkle your pastry with sesame seeds.

When the puff pastry with cheese and onions is ready, cut it into triangles and serve it to hot tea.

Open mushroom pie

The taste of this treat is especially memorable for guests if you use real forest mushrooms for filling. To make a puff pastry pie, you need:

  • Cut into small pieces 350 grams of mushrooms and the same amount of peeled potatoes.
  • Pour into a saucepan 200 grams of milk and 140 grams of creamy fat, put them on fire. When the liquid boils, add potatoes, chopped garlic clove into it, and cook until ready. At the very end of the filling should be salt, pepper and season with spices (for example, nutmeg).
  • Mushrooms fry with butter, salt.
  • Roll out the dough and place it on the parchment. Protect the edges so that its shape resembles a basket.
  • The filling is laid out as follows: potatoes, mushrooms, grated cheese. To make the cheese not burnt, it is better to put it five minutes before it is ready.

After 15 minutes, you can invite your relatives to try a fragrant pie with potatoes. Puff pastry is prepared very quickly, so that delicious food will not take long.

Closed mushroom pie

If you want to grab something delicious, then there is nothing easier - make a simple pie made of puff pastry. Fillings for it can be very different, but mushroom are considered one of the most delicious:

  • Fry in a frying pan finely chopped onions (two heads) and a mixture of forest mushrooms (300 grams). In the end, salt and pepper.
  • 100 grams of any hard cheese, grate on a fine grater.
  • Roll out two sheets of dough. On the first lay out the filling and sprinkle with cheese, and the second close the cake.
  • Baking should be cooked in the oven until the puff pastry is browned.

Pie with mushrooms can be gently cut into squares or triangles. Serve it with tea or as an addition to the first dish.

Puff pastry with cheese and greens

To create this crispy and nutritious pie, you will take very little time, and its pleasant taste your loved ones will remember for a long time.

  • Rub on a large grater hard and soft cheese (each need to take 150 grams).
  • Chop the dill, parsley and green onions. Mix together all the products.
  • The filling is enough for two pies, so you should roll out four sheets of the prepared defrosted dough.
  • Form closed pies, puncture them with a fork, grease with yolk and send baked until cooked in the oven.

"Snail" with cheese

An unusual form of this treat will surely attract the attention of your guests and deserve many compliments. However, you will have to spend a little more time in the kitchen than usual:

  • For the filling, grate 200 grams of hard cheese (Parmesan or Dutch) and 100 grams of soft cheese (brynza or Adyghe cheese).
  • The dough is thawed, rolled out and cut into long strips with a width of five to ten centimeters (this depends on your desire and the height of the finished pie). We recommend using a ready-made yeast dough, which is sold not in sheets, but in a roll.
  • Cheese spread over the entire length of the strip and tear the edges so that a tube is obtained. We do this operation with other parts.
  • On the baking sheet, lay a paper or silicone baking mat. Ready-made plaits from the dough lay out in the middle and twist in a spiral, tightly pressing together.
  • Lubricate the "cochlea" with yolk and sprinkle with sesame seeds.

To prepare this original treat, you can also use puff yeast dough. Recipes (pies) are easy to change according to personal preferences. For example, add spinach, chicken or mushrooms to the filling.

Rolls

Cooked sausage is a product that is actively used to prepare festive dishes by many citizens of our country. That's why we could not ignore pies made of puff pastry (recipes with sausage):

  • Roll out the thawed sheets and smear them with sauce from sour cream and mustard.
  • Sausage and cheese (you can take the quantity of products at your discretion) grate on a large grater and mix with chopped herbs. Do not forget to salt and pepper.
  • Lay the filling on a sheet in an even layer, roll into a roll and paddle around the edges. If you want, you can cut it into portions by the width of ten centimeters.
  • Before you send the rolls to the oven, they should be greased with a yolk, diluted with a little water.

Pie with cheese and spinach

Many useful properties of spinach are known, but very few people use it in their menu. Prepare a simple cake for this recipe and make sure that the filling from it turns out delicious. It is perfect even for a festive table.

  • Fry in a frying pan finely chopped onions (one head) and spinach (300 grams). Salt and pepper to taste.
  • 150 grams of cheese and the same amount of hard cheese grate.
  • Combine all the foods together, add two raw eggs to them and heat in a frying pan for a few minutes.
  • Lay out the filling on the puff pastry, close the second sheet and patch the edges. On top, make a few punctures with a fork and send the baked until cooked.

Laurent Pie

This traditional dish of French cuisine can be prepared in a variety of ways. But we decided to dwell on the option in which cheese and frozen spinach are used for the filling:

  • Roll out the dough sheet. Using a pizza knife, give it a round shape. Put it on a baking sheet covered with baking paper.
  • Frozen spinach is heated in a frying pan, and then squeeze out excess water through a sieve. Mix it with grated cheese (feta or brynza).
  • In a separate bowl, whip two eggs, add a glass of milk. Salt and pepper.
  • Cover the dough with a thin layer of cheese, then lay the spinach, pour, and again a layer of cheese. From above beautifully arrange thin slices of fresh tomato.

  • Take two or three large chicken breasts, remove the skin, remove the meat, cut it into small cubes and fry until half cooked.
  • Two large bulbs are also cut into cubes. Mix them with chicken, salt, add the zir, cinnamon and ground pepper.
  • Cut out squares from the rolled out dough, put the filling in the center (it should be with a slide) and clasp them so that the triangles will turn out.
  • Lay the samsa on the baking tray with a seam down, grease with egg, sprinkle with sesame and bake in the oven until cooked.

In the original, this eastern pastry is made from fat lamb and yeast dough. Perhaps most men will vehemently reject this recipe and prefer its classical execution. However, the ladies who follow the figure will be glad to know the light version and will certainly take note of it.

Popular in our country apple pie can be prepared in various ways and from different dough. Those who prefer to save their time, we propose to use the flaky, bought in the store:

  • Peel a kilogram of green apples from the peel and cut into small pieces. Put them in a large bowl, add sugar and ground almonds. Shake the stuffing several times and put in the refrigerator for half an hour.
  • Use a rolling pin to roll a sheet of dough, put it on a towel and grease it with olive oil.
  • Take the apples with your hands, squeeze tightly so that the excess juice flows out, and form a slide along the edge of the sheet.
  • Using a towel, twist the roll, oil it and send it to bake until cooked.
