It is perfect for a family feast, friendly gatherings, and will also be an excellent snack for beer. In fact, it's potatoes baked with spices. In America, the Idaho potatoes are very fond of - the recipe for this dish is very simple and easy to learn, even for inexperienced chefs. Probably, therefore, it is a favorite men's food, because even a bachelor can cook it. Such potatoes, baked with slices, will perfectly suit practically all meat dishes. It is especially well combined with all kinds of steaks, including fish, and chicken meat (fried wings, ham, etc.).

Baked potatoes, especially young, in itself a very useful product. Young potatoes are rich in vitamins and flavonoids that retain youth, and its peel contains many valuable trace elements (that is why it is worth using young potatoes, since many nitrates can accumulate in the skin of the old one). This dish can be served on the table for the whole family, although if the house has children or people who have diseases of the digestive organs, then the abundance of garlic and spices should be discarded.

How to cook potatoes "Idaho"

Ingredients: "Idaho Rosset" or any young potato of medium size is perfectly suitable for preparing this dish. In addition, you need greenery - parsley, dill or basil, a clove of garlic and a little vegetable oil for frying, and also mustard. If you like spices, add 1 teaspoon of paprika, a little cayenne pepper and dried rosemary or basil, as well as 2 tablespoons of soy sauce (such a potato fits well with fish)

Preparation: Select smooth tubers with a smooth surface (the potatoes will be baked with skin). Rinse them thoroughly, wipe with a brush particularly dirty places. Dry them with a paper towel. Then cut each tuber into 2 halves, and each halve - for another 3 slices. Slots should not be thick or thin. Put the water to cook the potatoes and put the chopped slices into it until it heats up. Bring to a boil and cook a couple more minutes. If you use a crumbly variety, you do not need to do this - the potatoes will boil. In this case, the young potatoes should only be rinsed with boiling water. Then take the potatoes and put them in a bowl. While it cools, prepare the sauce by mixing the vegetable oil and mustard. Throw quivered garlic and finely chopped greens. Add spices and soy sauce. In the resulting mixture you need to dip each piece of potatoes and leave to soak for 15 minutes. Put the slices of potatoes on a baking sheet, oiled, so that they all lay skinned down. Put the potatoes at 200 degrees. Bake for 20-25 minutes. If you want to check the readiness, try piercing it with a fork - it should easily come in. The prepared dish will have a pleasant aroma and a ruddy crust. Then the Idaho potatoes are listened to from the plate and served to the table hot, adding fresh greens.

Potatoes "Idaho" - a recipe for sauce with sour cream and pickled cucumbers

For sauce, mix in equal parts sour cream and mayonnaise (preferably home-made), add grated garlic and small pieces of pickled cucumbers (preferably choose more sharply).

Potato "Idaho" - recipe for spring sauce with radish and natural yoghurt

Take 250 grams of natural yogurt without additives (you can buy or make it yourself from the starter), add 2 tablespoons of mayonnaise, a little radish and finely chopped green onions. To taste, add black pepper, salt and paprika. Before serving, sauce should be cooled for an hour.
