Pleuralopyritis periarthritis - symptoms and diagnosis

One manifestation of cervical osteochondrosis is a humeropathy periarthritis, symptoms Which depend on the form of its flow. The disease is quite common. According to statistics, they suffer up to 25% of the world's population, and it spares no one - neither men, nor women.

Shoulder-scapular periarthritis is the inflammation of the adjacent tissues surrounding the large joints (tendons, ligaments and joint capsule). This disease is also called a "frozen shoulder".

Causes: The main cause for the onset of the disease is a dystrophic disorder in intervertebral discs or an osteochondrosis of the spine in the cervical region. To provoke a humeroscapular periarthritis can:

- Disorder of the endocrine system (during menopause or menopause in women);

- disorders of metabolic processes (diabetes, obesity);

- diseases of the bile duct and liver;

- Inflammation of peripheral blood vessels;

- excessive load on the shoulder joints or frequent injuries.

Quite often the disease occurs against the backdrop of professional activity, when a person is forced to hold his hand in an uncomfortable position. For example, periarthritis is often found in builders, musicians.

Forms of the disease and symptoms: Plechelopatochny periarthritis is able to flow in various forms:

1. Simple humeroscapular periarthritis - the symptoms are expressed in weak pain in the shoulder area. Pain is especially felt with certain movements of the hand, for example, when lifting up, putting an arm behind your back. This form of the disease is easily treatable, in some cases the pain passes independently in 3 to 4 weeks.

2. Acute humeropathy periarthritis - symptoms are expressed in the increasing pain in the shoulder, giving in the arm and neck. At night, the pain intensifies. Hand movements are limited and cause severe pain. Particularly painful circular movements, and the movement of the arm forward is practically painless and free.

The general condition of the patient worsens, there is sluggishness, caused by painful sensations and sleepless nights. There is also a slight increase in temperature. The attack of the acute form lasts several weeks, then the pain gradually ceases, the movements in the hand are partially restored. If the disease is not treated, then in most cases it goes into the next stage.

3. Chronic humeropathy periarthritis - the symptoms are expressed in moderate pain in the shoulder area, with sharp and unsuccessful movements the shoulder pierces with acute pain. Patients are noted for insomnia caused by acute pain, which intensifies in the second half of the night.

This form of periarthritis can take a long time, from several months to several years. In some cases, after a while, the disease passes on its own, sometimes even without treatment. Although it is noted that in 1/3 of cases the disease passes into ankylosing periarthritis, that is, to the disease "frozen shoulder".

4. Ankylosing periarthritis is the most severe and unfavorable form of the disease, which can manifest itself as a consequence of other forms of periarthritis, and arise independently. Signs here are blunt pain in the shoulder area, any movement leads to severe pain, joint mobility is greatly impaired, the affected shoulder becomes dense to the touch.

Diagnosis: Before treating humerous periarthritis, it should be established in what form the disease occurs, as well as the degree of change in the tissues of the shoulder joint.

The first conclusion is given on the basis of the signs present typical of this disease. To clarify the diagnosis, a radiograph of the shoulder joint and a blood test are prescribed.

Based on all the examinations performed, a diagnosis is made - humeropathy periarthritis.

How to relieve pain? Reduce pain will help:

- Anesthetics;

- massage;

- infusions and decoctions, which have an anti-inflammatory effect, which can be taken either inward or outwardly in the form of compresses;

- wearing bandages that fix the shoulder joint.

The removal of pain is not a cure for the disease, the basic treatment should be prescribed individually by the attending physician.
