Atopic dermatitis in a child: treatment and symptoms

Chronic inflammatory disease of the skin with allergic reactions is called atopic dermatitis. The definition of "atopic" is attributed to the fact that the usual irritants, which in normal conditions should not cause inflammation, there are various unusual reactions. Most often, the disease manifests itself in the first year of a child's life.

Symptoms

  • In children under the age of two, foci of dermatitis occur on the cheeks, the external surface of the arms, neck, and legs.   1. Baths from infusion of birch buds: a tablespoon of raw materials for 200 grams of boiling water. Insist for a couple of hours, drain and add to the bath with water.
  2. Bathing in water with infusion of nettles, burdock root, violet grass, yarrow. A liter of boiling water take 120 grams of grass.
  3. Against the itch, baths from starch help well: 40-50 grams of substance to dissolve with hot water, add at bathing.
  4. Ointment based on vegetable oil and propolis has a healing effect in such a disease as atopic dermatitis in children. Reviews about the use of traditional medicine are mostly positive. With the help of herbs and ointments on a plant basis, you can alleviate the condition of the patient and remove the itching.

Diet in case of disease

Nutrition of a child with atopic dermatitis should be hypoallergenic. It is necessary to exclude the products that cause the reaction. Sometimes for this, allergotests are required. If the disease occurs in a child who is breastfeeding, then the mother's diet should be adjusted.
