Pea soup with smoked products is a recipe that is simple in its embodiment

Among the variety of soups that are prepared all over the world, a considerable place is given to pea soup, which is popular due to its nutritional value. From all other soups it is distinguished, a special taste, which is inherent only to him.

Pea soup can be cooked with whole or with crushed peas, but, unlike crushed peas, which is well boiled without soaking, the whole before cooking should be soaked in water for several hours. In the winter season pea soup is cooked from dry peas. Pea soup with smoked products, the recipe of which will be given in this article, refers to those kinds of pea dishes that are very appropriate to cook in the winter.

There are very many varieties of pea soup: pea soup with potatoes, pea soup with cheese and cream, pea soup with pork ribs, pea soup with croutons, pea soup with smoked products, a recipe for spicy pea soup is also among all this set of recipes for pea soups. And there are also many other different options. It is very important to remember that pea soup is a traditional dish of many countries and peoples. So in the Scandinavian countries, the pea soup with smoked meats is the most widely spread, there are no fewer variants of it than any other soup, and pea soup with pork ribs is popular in Eastern Europe .

Soup, which contains peas in its composition, is an obligatory part of the diet of any person who wants to keep cheerfulness and clarity of thought until old age. It contains all the necessary components, without which the vital activity of the organism is inferior. But do not forget that some types of pea soup, such as pea soup with smoked products, the recipe of which will be given below, is not recommended for those who adhere to the concept of separate food. Consider below as examples of recipes for soups from peas.

Pea soup with smoked products is a simple recipe, but at the same time the soup cooked on it differs due to its favorable taste qualities.

For preparation it is required:

  • 250 grams of crushed and chopped peas;
  • 300 grams of smoked ribs;
  • 1 potato tuber (medium size);
  • 1 carrot (small);
  • 1 small head of onions;
  • Salt and black ground pepper (to taste);
  • Chopped parsley (exclusively for decorating a ready-made dish)

First, soak the peas and let it brew for 3-4 hours, then drain the water. Carry out the primary processing of vegetables and cut them into small cubes. Cook the broth from the smoked ribs, then strain it and bring to a boil. In the boiling broth add the peas and wait for another boil again. Then season with salt and pepper to taste, and after that half-ready soup should be cooked for another 15-20 minutes at minimum heat. Next, lay out the previously cut vegetables and continue to cook until cooked, then bring the soup to a puree state using a mixer or blender.

Just before serving the soup on the table, it is decorated with pieces of smoked meat and greens.

Pea soup with pork ribs

For preparation it is required:

  • 250 g of peas (can be taken as whole or crushed);
  • 450 g. Of pork (not greasy!) Ribs;
  • 1 head of onions (large);
  • 3 small carrots;
  • 8 large potatoes;
  • basil;
  • 2 small bay leaves;
  • Salt and black (ground) pepper to taste.

Before cooking, the peas are soaked for a while, which will depend only on what kind of fish you chose: if you chose whole peas for cooking, it is desirable to soak it longer, and if crushed, only 2-3 hours is enough.

Pork ribs must be filled with water and put on fire. When the meat boils, it must be removed and rinsed, and then put it back in a saucepan and, with a cool cool water, cook until cooked. Once you understand that the broth is ready, put the laurel sheets in a pan with it, and then strain it through a sieve, after removing the boiled ribs from it.

In the finished transparent broth we fall asleep already soaked peas and bring to a boil. In the boiling broth you need to put the pre-peeled and cut into small cubes potatoes. In the process of cooking, do not forget to remove the foam from the surface of the broth. When the potatoes are ready, add peeled, sliced and fried onions and carrots to the soup and cook a little more, reducing the heat to a minimum.

When the soup is ready, put the pork ribs in the pan, salt, pepper and, adding spices, you can serve on the table.
