When using the drug, there is a 100% absorption from the gastrointestinal tract. In plasma, its limiting concentration is achieved after one to three hours. 99% of the drug binds to plasma proteins. In the liver, the drug is metabolized to inactive metabolites. 90% of the dose is partially secreted by the kidneys in free form. Partial secretion occurs as conjugates. A small volume is excreted with bile. The order of two hours is half-life. The full elimination process is completed in 24 hours.

The medication is used to relieve pain and moderate inflammatory processes. The drug is indicated for rheumatic pains, lumbago, arthritis, slightly expressed, back pain, fibrositis, muscle pain, and also with stretching.

The drug is applied externally, to the area of the painful area three or four times a day. In this case, it is recommended to gently massage the medicine until it is completely absorbed into the skin. The ointment is applied with a strip of five or ten centimeters.

As side effects in rare cases, the local nature of allergic reactions, expressed in skin hyperemia, a feeling of tingling or burning.

Contraindications to the use of the medication include eczema, wet dermatoses, wounds and abrasions with the presence of infection. Do not use the drug people with increased sensitivity to the components of the drug, as well as to other NSAIDs.

It is not recommended to use the medication during the prenatal period. The administration of the drug in this case can be justified only by the attending physician. Despite the low concentration of the components of the drug in breast milk and their insignificant effect on the health of the child, it is recommended to abandon breastfeeding for the period of treatment due to the lack of clinical data on the safety of the use of the drug during lactation. Alternatively, another drug may be prescribed.

When using an ibuprofen medication ointment, the instruction does not recommend applying it to mucous membranes or open wounds.

According to some experts, the medication used by patients after myocardial infarction can provoke a relapse of the attack or increase the risk of death. It should be noted that this conclusion is attributed to the entire category of non-steroid medicines.
