With onions and green onions

This onion bread, the recipes of which must necessarily be in the cookbook of each hostess, bake both in the oven and in the bread maker. It will take 3-3.5 hours to cook. It has a bright characteristic onion taste and aroma. For him, ingredients of animal origin are not used, so that it can be cooked both for fasting and for a vegetarian diet.

For one loaf of bread you will need:

  1. One large head of thinly sliced onions.
  2. One bunch of green onions.
  3. Two tablespoons of any lean oil, but better than olive oil.
  4. Salt to taste.

For the test, you need to take a pound of flour, a teaspoon of salt, you will also need 2 teaspoons with a slide of dry yeast, 1.3 or 1.5 cups of warm water.

Cooking method

  1. Frying pan is placed on the stove for medium heat, pour vegetable oil. Stew the onion until golden yellow, it should be soft. Salt to taste and shift into a separate container.
  2. Green onions cut into. In a small bowl, yeast is dissolved in warm water (you can add a little sugar). Waiting for them to get stuck. In the sifted flour, pour in water, a solution of yeast, salt, fresh and braised onions. Knead the non-dough batter. If it seems that it is too liquid, then it is better not to pour the flour, but wait until it rises.
  3. The resulting dough is covered with a towel or cellophane and put in a warm place for an hour or a half or left in the bread maker. As soon as its volume is doubled, they start baking bread.
  4. The dough is sprinkled with salt and green onions.
  5. Waiting for the program to finish and cool the bread a little.

  2. Medium onion, cut into thin semicircles or cubes.

For the test, you will need:

  1. A glass of warm, but not hot water.
  2. A tablespoon of vegetable or olive oil.
  3. Three glasses of sifted flour of the highest grade.
  4. 2 tablespoons of white sugar.
  5. A teaspoon of a large salt.
  6. 1.25 teaspoons active dry yeast.

Cooking method

  1. A small frying pan is placed on medium heat, quickly melting butter. Covered onion, put it there, stew, stirring, about a quarter of an hour, until it becomes golden. Transfer to a separate container for cooling. Despite the fact that it will taste good, there is still no need for it, it is useful for onion rolls.
  2. All ingredients are measured and placed in a bread maker, except onions, in the order recommended by the manufacturer. At the end of the last mixing cycle (5-10 minutes before the end), add half a cup of caramel onion.
  3. Establish the main cycle and wait for the breadmaker's signal about bread availability.
  4. Remove from the mold, allow to cool and taste.

Important! With such baking, do not use the delayed start, since the main ingredient can deteriorate, and onion bread in the bread maker (the recipes with the photos are given in this article) will not turn out to be too tasty.

With garlic and cheese

You can cook such onion bread in the bread maker. Recipes in this case include not only onions, but also garlic and cheese. Such bread has such a bright aroma that it does not have enough strength to wait until the loaf cools and you can enjoy this taste.

If you cook onion bread in a bread maker, the recipe ("Moulinex" is another brand - not so important) will require the presence of ingredients such as:

  1. One glass of unheated water plus a tablespoon.
  2. Three glasses of sifted flour of the highest grade.
  3. For two tablespoons of milk powder, sugar, margarine or butter.
  4. One and a half teaspoons of a large salt.
  5. Two teaspoons of active dry yeast.
  6. Two teaspoons of garlic powder.
  7. Three tablespoons of dried onions.
  8. One glass of grated cheese of hard varieties.

Preparation

  1. Add all dry and wet ingredients, except onion, garlic and cheese, to the bread maker in the order suggested by the manufacturer. Select the main cycle with a light crust.
  2. At the signal of the apparatus or when indicated by the manufacturer add a garlic powder, 2 tablespoons of onion flakes and grated cheese. After the dough rises, it is sprinkled on top with the remaining onions, and you can also sprinkle a little cheese and cumin.
  3. Wait for the signal of the bread maker. Enjoy the hot and fresh bread.

With fresh onions

This is the simplest of all presented, but no less delicious onion bread. In a bread maker (recipes may vary slightly, but the essence is about one) it is not difficult to cook at all. It is baked from the first grade flour.

For a large loaf of onion bread you will need:

  1. 4 cups of sifted flour of the first grade.
  2. One and a half glasses of warm water.
  3. 3.5 tablespoons lean oil.
  4. 2 teaspoons of large salt.
  5. 2 tablespoons of white sugar.
  6. 1.5 teaspoons active dry yeast.
  7. One medium sliced onion (approximately 120-130 grams).

Cooking method

  1. All components, except for onions, fall asleep in the bread maker according to the manufacturer's instructions.
  2. Onions are placed in a separate dispenser or added for 5-10 minutes before the end of the batch.
  3. Install to the desired program.
  4. Waiting for the breadmaker's signal about bread availability. Allow to cool slightly and remove from the mold.
