How to switch language on the keyboard in Windows operating systems

One of the main questions arising at the first acquaintance with the PC is: "How to switch the language on the keyboard?". There are various combinations and ways to perform this operation. In this case, you must choose the one that best suits you.

Before switching the language on the keyboard, we will deal with a simpler solution to this problem. Let's start with the language bar. Usually it is on the taskbar in the lower left corner of the monitor screen. Although with the help of a manipulator it can be dragged to any part of the screen. Its main element is the indicator of the active language. That is, if the value En is present on it, the English keyboard layout is currently active, and it is in English that you can type the word. If you point to the icon and click the left mouse button, the list of installed languages appears. Further, by moving the pointer over this list, you can select the desired option for further dialing. For this, for example, point to Ru (Russian) and again click the left mouse button. After that, switching to a new language will occur, and the existing layout will change.

Regardless of the choice of how to switch the language (on the keyboard or mouse), the panel in the bottom left of the screen will necessarily switch the indicator. And the change will be done almost simultaneously with the pressing of keys or buttons. Therefore, this interface element, which is located on the taskbar, indirectly can act as the switching indicator. If the change does not occur, you may need to restart the computer. In case the restart does not help, you need to contact a specialist for help. The extreme solution to this problem is to reinstall the operating system.

Change the language on the keyboard can be performed by simultaneously pressing a special key combination. Most often for these purposes, the operating systems of the Windows family use "Alt" and "Shift" combinations only on the left side of the input device or "Control" and "Shift" on either side of the peripheral device. Which combination is used on your system unit can be determined by selection. Even if the combination is not pressed, nothing terrible will happen. If the first did not work, then the second should work. In case, if Windows 7 is installed, then the third variant of entering the language change is possible. To do this, press "~". In any case, changing the layout with one of the options described earlier should happen.

Sometimes when you enter large fragments of text there is a big enough problem. Especially if the text simultaneously consists of several languages, and they often alternate. In this situation, it is possible that the desired layout is not active. For example, English is included, and the set is in Russian. As a result of this combination you will get an incomprehensible gibberish, and the text will have to be recruited. The simplest and most effective solution to this problem can be the installation of a component such as a language switching program. The most famous product from this class is Punto Switcher. It is important to understand one thing - you need to enable it only while working with office applications. Otherwise, in a browser, for example, a password can be entered incorrectly using this software, and you may lose access to your e-mail account.

Which option to choose and how to switch the language on the keyboard or with the mouse-must solve the user himself, based on their habits. If it is easier and faster to use the language panel and the manipulator, then it is better to do so. And if you like a special combination of keys - that's also a good choice.
