Shota Arveladze is a famous Georgian football player. Now he works as the head coach of the Israeli club "Maccabi" from Tel Aviv. First of all, he became famous as the best scorer in the history of the modern national team of Georgia.

Club career

Shota Arveladze was born in Tbilisi in 1973. Professional career began in the metropolitan team "Martve", when he was 17 years old. Demonstrated in this club brilliant bombardirskie quality, for the season played 30 matches in which scored 33 goals.

In European football

"Glasgow" was the second, behind by 18 points. Arveladze with 11 balls became the second scorer of the team.

But in season 2002/03 the three scorers - Arveladze, Ferguson, Ronald de Boer - scored four goals for three, winning the Championship in their club. A year later the Georgian striker became a two-time champion of Scotland. The fight was stubborn until the last round, "Celtic" behind only 1 point. In total for the Scottish club he played 95 matches, in which he scored 44 goals.

In 2005 Arveladze returned to the Dutch Championship, but already in a modest "AZ" from Alkmaar. For two seasons he won with this club silver and bronze.

He finished his career as Shota in the Spanish "Levante" at 35 years old. But the veteran was no longer able to show himself in this Championship. On the field he appeared only 4 times.

Record-holder in the national team
