The agent "Teraflex" describes the instruction as a medicament stimulating synthesis in the cartilaginous tissue, restoring joint mobility. The drug is used for osteochondrosis and osteoarthritis. The medicine is available in the form of tablets and ointments.

The medication is combined. The active substances in its composition enhance the action of each other.

Active ingredients: sodium chondroitin sulfate and glucosamine hydrochloride.

The first ingredient, in accordance with its chemical structure, belongs to the group of complex mucopolysaccharides. The mechanism of its effect is based on the slowing down of destructive processes in the cartilaginous tissue. This effect is achieved due to a decrease in the activity of enzymes, which contribute to degeneration. Sodium chondroitin sulfate possesses a regenerating property. The use of the component in the initial phases of the pathology, leading to the slowing down of degenerative processes, contributes to the reduction of pain. This allows you to reduce the dose of NSAIDs taken several times.

Glucosamine hydrochloride takes part in the synthesis of hyaluronic acid and proteoglycans, and also replenishes the deficiency of glucosamines. The component, possessing the properties of an antioxidant, is able to block the formation of superoxides, which contribute to the destruction of cartilaginous tissue. Glucosamine hydrochloride stimulates the addition of sulfur during the formation of chondroitinsulfuric acid, contributes to a decrease in the negative impact on the joint tissue of NSAIDs.

The drug is used in conjunction with other means in the treatment of diseases of the musculoskeletal system, accompanied by degenerative-dystrophic disorders in the tissues of the joints. Such pathologies include, in particular: secondary, primary osteoarthritis, joint and spinal pathologies of degenerative-dystrophic nature, osteochondrosis of the spine. The drug is also recommended to accelerate the processes of regeneration and the formation of bone callus, with damage to traumatic bones.

For all patients over the age of twelve, including the elderly, it is recommended to take the capsule three times a day for twenty-one days, then twice a day on the capsule. The duration of therapy is at least two months. As a rule, it is necessary to conduct several treatment courses for taking Teraflex. The instruction recommends appointing them with a break of three months.

Contraindicated in phenylketonuria, hypersensitivity.

There have been no studies under which the safety of the use of the drug during the gestation period has been convincingly proven. Thus, pregnancy refers to contraindications. In addition, do not use the medicine when breastfeeding. For the duration of therapy, lactation should be stopped.

The drug "Teraflex" is able to reduce the absorption of penicillins and chloramphenicol, to increase the penetration of tetracyclines.

When using the drug, there are no cases of overdose. Acceptance of elevated doses of the drug involves symptomatic therapy.

"Teraflex" helps reduce the need for NSAIDs.

The drug should be stored in a ventilated, dry place, away from exposure to sunlight. The storage temperature is seventeen to twenty-five degrees.
