Making embroidery with a seam "back needle": tips for beginners
Recently, many designers who make schemes for cross-stitching began to supplement it with a seam "back needle". It allows you to give the finished product a finished look, emphasize small details or just create the right image. However, not all novice needlewomen are familiar with the correct technique of its implementation. So they are lost, sometimes they even refuse to embroider such works. Although, having mastered it once, in the future it will be possible to make them even whole pictures.
Technique of execution
The thread of the mulina must be folded in half, so that the loop on one side turns out, and thread it in the needle. And of course, we still need scissors to cut off the remaining thread. Now you can perform the first seam "back needle". Embroidery should not have nodules, and therefore you need to properly fix the tip of the thread. To do this, it is necessary to pass the needle to the desired distance (4-6 interlaces), and then - through the loop and tighten. The thread will hold perfectly.
Now you need to pass the needle one more step, and then, having returned back, stick it into the previous hole, pull it out at the same distance and again pass into the previously made puncture. So you should do all the other stitches. On the wrong side, when sewing with a seam "back needle" a new thread will pass already under the old stitch. This will give the work a more accurate look. To fix the thread from the other side, you just need to wrap it around the stitches several times and cut off the remainder.
Little tricks
Also, the stitches must be even and the same to make the work look neat. The size can vary depending on the very embroidery and pattern. For paintings that are likely to be under glass, the long seam "back needle" is also quite suitable. Scheme for tablecloth, napkins or clothes assumes only short stitches. Just another thing can be uncomfortable in sock.
