Schemes of ribbon lace: crochet is easy to crochet !

Drawing an openwork cloth from tapes is much easier than sewing hundreds of small flowers. But here, not everything is as simple as it might seem at first glance. Ribbon lace is a few identical elements, sequentially connected without tearing off the thread and arranged in a certain order. As a rule, ribbon lace schemes, crocheted, begin with one whole fragment, and all the other elements look like its halves. For example, those shown in the diagrams below. It is a pattern of halves of flowers.

This lace looks harmonious. It can decorate any outfit: the hem of the dress or the collar of the blouse. For his knitting, threads of different colors are used. As for the circuit, it looks like it is shown in the photo below.

  2. Skirts.
  3. Blouses.

Secrets of knitting ribbon laces

You should know that openwork ribbons from fragments are undesirable to try to unite in the process of knitting. Although many magazines offer this method of comparing elements, it almost never pays off. Often the allowed connection error is detected when a large number of semicircular motifs are already connected, and they all have to be dismissed.

In addition, it is much more convenient to lay out the finished strips on a pattern and plan their arrangement than to get a cloth from tapes that is not suitable for the size or configuration. An important feature of the ribbon lace scheme, crocheted, is their asymmetry. It is better to combine elements into a whole canvas in pairs. Each pair should include ribbons that mirror each other. If all the fragments are directed in one direction, you can not avoid skewing the canvas.

The simplest ribbon lace

The patterns depicted in the diagrams below can be attributed to the form of ribbon lace, although they can also be called a border.

Knitting such tapes is a pretty simple job. Their application is the same as with traditional band lace: both for decorating products, and for making a knitting fabric. Such patterns have a more precise geometric shape, which greatly facilitates their connection. Such schemes are indispensable when you intend to make a knitted belt, an openwork handle for a bag or an ornament for the bottom of some canvas.

Ribbon lace combined with Irish technique

It looks amazing almost any lace (crochet). Schemes of tape, Irish, Romanian and other species are significantly different. They can have a combined composition and include different elements. For example, Irish lace consists of a large number of floral or abstract motifs connected by a grid.

Often, masters prefer to simplify the task a little and place one or several lace ribbons between the flowers.
