Decoupage caskets - master class

Old objects can now be transformed so much that they can become much more beautiful than their original appearance. For example, a box that has stagnated for many years can turn into a luxurious casket adorned with flowers, rhinestones or other decorations. Learning how to do decoupage caskets is not difficult. The result depends on the chosen color schemes.

To work with a cardboard box you will need the following materials: box, acrylic paint, brushes, decontamination napkin, PVA glue, acrylic glossy varnish. All you need at hand, now consider the decoupage of the box. Master class for you!

Step 1. Paint the box with acrylic paint in 1 or 2 layers. If the acrylic mixture is dense, then dilute it with water to the consistency of medium sour cream.

Step 2. While the box is drying out, cut out napkins from drawings, for example, flowers or small animals. Advice: it is most convenient to work with sharp scissors with short blades (medical) and manicure, having arched ends.

Step 3. When the paint is dry, try the pictures on the box as they are located. After that, divide the napkin into 3 parts and take only the top layer.

Step 4. Apply a lot of PVA glue, diluted with water in a 1: 1 ratio, over one of the images from the center to the edges. Do this quickly, but neatly, otherwise the tissue will break.

Step 5. With your fingers, carefully align the pattern, removing the folds.

Step 6. Remnants of layers of napkins or a cotton disc to eliminate excess glue. In the same way, paste the remaining drawings to the box and allow them to dry.

Step 7. Cover the resulting box with acrylic glossy varnish in three 3 layers and leave to dry (three hours, no less).

This way make decoupage caskets of cardboard. However, this technique is applicable not only to paper products, but also to wooden ones. For work you will need: a box of wood, small nest, a primer, brushes, acrylic paints, napkins and decoupage glue, scissors, acrylic lacquer. Step 1. Create a smooth surface of the tree, for which we grind it with fine sandpaper.

Step 2. Cover with a thin layer of primer, if the tree is uneven, rough, let dry.

Step 3. Dye the box with acrylic paint and allow to dry.

Step 4. While the future casket dries, cut out the patterns from the napkin.

Step 5. When the paint ceases to stick, try the decorations on the product.

Step 6. Separate the top layer of the napkin and fix it with glue. Do not forget to miss from the middle of the image to its edges quickly and carefully, so as not to tear it. We leave to dry.

Step 7. If desired, you can apply additional drawings with acrylic paints or add some elements. This will make decoupage caskets brighter, nicer.

Step 8. Cover the box with acrylic lacquer and you're done!
