The birthday of Telman Ismailov - October 26. It was on this autumn day of 1956 that a tenth child was born in one of the Baku families. The father of Telman was of Azeri origin. The mother had Jewish roots. The future businessman was one of the youngest children. There were twelve of them in the family.

Telman Ismailov, whose biography has been associated with commerce and business since his early years, has been helping his father since he was fourteen. He sold products that were produced in state factories. The father of Telman is a large Azerbaijani businessman who owned a semi-legal business in Baku. That is why the products were sold from under the floor. However, Telman did not oppose this state of affairs. For the successful promotion of the goods, he quickly learned to establish good connections and make new acquaintances. This helped him to become the director of the only commercial store in Baku. However, Telman Ismailov did not stop at what he had achieved. His biography continued for three years at the Azerbaijan Institute of National Economy named after Buniat-Zade. Then there was a service in the army, after which a talented businessman returned to school, only in a Moscow university. In Russia, he became a student of the Plekhanov Institute of National Economy, which he successfully graduated in 1980.
