The Kharkov National University of Radio Electronics, the photo of which is located below, was formerly called the Institute of Mining Machinery (briefly - HIGMAVT). Several years later its name was changed to the Kharkov Institute of Radio Electronics (HIRE).

There are 34 specialties at the university, where more than 13 thousand pupils study. The university includes 8 technical and 1 general education faculty, 30 most popular departments at present.

Those who want to continue their studies after graduating from the magistracy can go to doctoral studies or graduate school.

KHNURE along with other Ukrainian educational institutions in 2012 and 2013 was awarded the first place in the official list from the Ministry of Education.

A few words about KHNURE

Kharkov National University of Radio Electronics (KNURE) - an institution that produces high-quality specialists. The university was founded in 1930. It has been operating for more than 70 years. In Ukraine and other countries, this university in many respects surpasses the potential in radio electronics, communications, technology and technology, other educational institutions. Although the country is experiencing a crisis in the development of the IT sphere, it was able to preserve all the previous achievements and successfully continue to develop further.

Kharkov National University of Radio Electronics is characterized by a high level of education. This is due not only to new textbooks, manuals and equipment. Highly qualified teachers work here. The level of training of students can be assessed by their work for the olympiads and competitions, in which they take prizes.

Kharkov National University of Radio Electronics (KNURE) has several libraries, reading rooms, sports clubs, amateur art groups. Young people are brought up with a love of language, the history of the state, its literature and art.

Admission to KHNURE

The Admission Committee consists of a rector (more precisely, his acting secretary, since he has been absent from the university for several years), the dean, the assistant to the rector, the leading engineer, as well as several professors, associate professors, the director of the Central Election Commission.

During the introductory commission, non-resident applicants receive a hostel.

Kharkov National University of Radio Electronics took care of graduates of technical schools. Every day there is a small testing in computer science and higher mathematics, in order to take students to an accelerated course of study.

Graduates of 11 classes have the right to submit an application for training in paper or electronic form. In the absence of the results of the UPE (for a good reason), it is required to pass an interview, providing the originals of all documents.

If the applicant is a junior specialist, that is, a graduate of a college or technical school, it is enough for him to write an application in paper form and hand in only the entrance examination for a profile subject.

Kharkov National University of Radio Electronics requires certificates of VNO for all specialties, with the exception of the Faculty of Economic Cybernetics, in the following subjects: Ukrainian language, mathematics (profile) and physics. For EC it is necessary to hand over history instead of the third item.

Each year, the university conducts preparatory courses designed for high school students. Here not only help to master the software, some programming languages and the school program for delivery of UPE, but also conduct excursions to the institution itself.

Those who want to become leading experts in the field of computer science and mathematics should choose Kharkov National University of Radio Electronics. Faculties are not limited to the technical direction. There are also places for foreign citizens. They can enroll in Ukrainian studies, science and language training.

Computer Engineering and Management (KIU) and Applied Mathematics and Management (PMM)

KIU has two directions: system security and computer engineering. The task of students is to create a kind of computer world that is intelligent. Attractive on KIA can be called that students give freedom of imagination and come up with various software for mobile devices and computers. The faculty "is friends" with such companies as Intel, Apple, Google.

Candidates and doctors of sciences, academicians and over 100 teachers work at the PMM faculty. Allow students to work in modern problem-oriented laboratories. If desired, the student can undergo an internship in Russia, Germany, the United States, Sweden or France.

Automation and Computerized Technologies (ACT) and Computer Science (CN)

ACT prepares specialists involved in the management of technological, technical business objects.

On CN you can study for a bachelor, specialist, master, also a post-graduate student and a doctor of science. The faculty conducts an active activity in the scientific and technical sphere. Allows students to study in the Netherlands, Great Britain, France, Germany, Russia, etc. KN works with such large IT companies as EPAM Systems, Microsoft Ukraine, IBM, etc.

Electronic equipment (ET) and radio engineering (RT)

ET prepares bachelors, specialists and masters. Cooperates with educational institutions of America (Stanford University), Germany (University of Hanover, Institute of Solar Energy), also Italy and Spain.

RT prepares bachelors.

Specialties of KNURE

Kharkiv National University of Radio Electronics, whose specialties are diverse, trains the best specialists in different areas. Graduates are in demand from foreign companies.

There are 30 departments:

1. MMP:

  • Applied mathematics - students study the analysis of systems, a small course of programming and applied mathematics.
  • Informatics - combines several directions in computer science: from graphic design to development of Internet programs.
  • Economic cybernetics and economic security - allows you to learn how to solve economic problems by using new technologies and special technical equipment.
  • Higher Mathematics - the whole course of higher mathematics is taught at the department, which helps the student develop logical and mathematical thinking.
  • Social Informatics is one of the most popular departments in Ukraine. It produces analysts and knowledge engineers.

2. KIU:

  • Electronic computers - focus on studying the architecture of programs of varying complexity.
  • Computer-aided design of computer facilities - graduates of this department are engaged in creating virtual computer and mobile devices, creating various software.
  • Security of information technologies - specialists are engaged in protecting programs from failures, viruses and developing the means for their maximum protection.
  • Philosophy - the department prepares students who are versed in the political, moral, humanitarian and social spheres.

3. CN:

  • Information management systems - the department is engaged in teaching methods for developing programs for Web-systems.
  • System engineering - the student learns to develop, analyze and maintain the operability of important systems required for technical facilities.
  • Software engineering - specialists are produced that can perform all sorts of manipulations with the software: from development to software support only after providing users for use.
  • Artificial Intelligence - engineers, analysts and system specialists are produced.
  • Media systems and technologies - study Web-design, methods of creating multimedia, ways of correct processing of various kinds and types of images.

4. ACT:

  • Design and operation of electronic devices - specializes in the creation of software, device management through networks.
  • Physics - covers the entire course of physics taught at the undergraduate degree at the university.
  • Labor safety - the department teaches ecology, labor and life protection.
  • Technology and automation of production of electronic and electronic computers - graduates are engaged in the creation of software in the automatic sphere and its management through networks and other devices.

5. ET:

  • Physical education is the introduction of students to different kinds of sports.
  • Biomedical engineering - is based on research and problem solving in the field of medicine and biology.
  • Physical fundamentals of electronic equipment - specialists and research workers are trained in telecommunications and electronic and laser technology.

6. RT:

  • Foreign languages - training is conducted with the help of unique programs, the essence of which lies in the dialogue with the computer.
  • Radio-electronic systems - produces specialists in the following areas: radio engineering, television and radio broadcasting, etc.
  • The fundamentals of radio engineering: the main direction is the protection of information and its processing
  • Radio technologies of information and communication systems - development of complex complexes of pulsed radiations and television devices.

7. Faculty for foreign citizens:

  • Ukrainian studies - acquaintance with the history of the state, its development.
  • Language training is the main task - to teach students to master Russian and Ukrainian language at the proper level.

About 90% of the feedback on the training in KHNURE are good. The knowledge is good, the base of the students is excellent. The advantage is that on the third and fourth year students are satisfied to work in leading IT companies.
