Conclusion

What hinders the progress of economists-mathematicians today, determines to them mainly a place in auxiliary, highly specialized economic links (after all, the social mission of the direction of this kind of activity, like economic cybernetics) is leveled out?

The prospects are still ahead. The reason is mentality: in the conditions of stagnation and crisis, when management is carried out mainly in the "manual" mode, the chief is more often in the style of management by the administrator than by the technologist. Let's be honest. The priority of paternalistic leadership leads to the fact that cybernetics specialists often find themselves in an unenviable position: "I see everything, I understand how to do it, and I can not influence anything." Their vision of problems is always secondary. Primary are the directives of the leadership.

An important problem is the absence in the state of an effective program of attracting young professionals in the industry. As a result, gourmets-employers put a bar unbearable for graduate students: work experience in the specialty. But no experience! There is knowledge, and the personnel officer can not adequately assess them. And come to get a job for a graduate cybernetics so no one will ask questions that are his skate - on factor analysis and adaptive management. Accordingly, his employment will not correspond to the specialty. Knowledge of software products is forgotten, but programs become obsolete, and the effect of education is reduced ... We are forced to admit that economic cybernetics is still a profession for the future. (Is not this the reason for the "brain drain"?) Its flowering and, accordingly, the maximum demand for masters-cybernetics - is ahead, when investors pour into the post-Soviet countries, when creativity will become the norm of life when the doors of domestic "Silicon Valley ", when in honor when appointing to the office will become not kinship, ties, partisanship, but the ability to creatively and effectively manage economic structures of varying complexity.

The reason is in macroeconomics. We need sufficient and highly efficient investments in industries that determine the production potential. We need transparent control over the expenditure of funds and a decent payment for the personnel participating in the projects. The competition of leaders in the proper sense of the word is needed.

The effectiveness of investment, unfortunately, is a scourge of countries with economies in transition. They built an uncountable number of financial schemes, enriching the oligarchs and forming shadow financial flows. Unfortunately, justice here has not yet said its weighty word ...
