Moscow metro station "Pechatniki"

Metro "Pechatniki" is one of the metro stations in Moscow , which is located on the Lublin-Dmitrovskaya line. It is located between the stops "Кожувская" and "Волжская". The "Pechatniki" metro station was opened in December 1995 and was named after the same-named district on the Lublin-Dmitrovskaya line.

Lubelsko-Dmitrovskaya line

The light green branch of the first was discovered after the collapse of the Soviet Union. Its construction began in the late 1980s, and it was put into operation in the winter of 1995. At present, the Lyublino-Dmitrovskaya line includes seventeen functioning stations, including the Pechatniki metro station. The operating length of a light green branch is almost twenty-four kilometers. The average travel time for it is thirty minutes. It is worth noting that the tenth line of the Moscow Metro until 2007 in official documents was called Lublin, and to date, only its southern radius and the central part have been completely built. The rest is at the construction stage and, according to the plan, should be put into operation in 2014.

Metro "Pechatniki": general information

This station, as already noted earlier, is located in the eponymous Pechatniki district, on the territory of the so-called South-Eastern Administrative District. It is interesting that for nineteen years of existence she never changed her name. Currently, it is the shallowest of all underground stops of the Moscow metro. The passenger traffic of the station until recently was just over 25 thousand people.

History of station name

As it has been repeatedly noted, the Pechatniki metro station (Moscow) owes its name to the eponymous district, on whose territory it is, in fact, located. In turn, the history of the latter is closely intertwined with the history of the Nikolo-Perervinsky Monastery, which was founded in 1380-1381. Today in official documents you can find two variants of the name of this area - Pechatnikovo and Pechatniki. According to the first version, the name of the district came from the name of a certain Vladimir Pechatnikov, a serviceman killed in the Livonian campaign. Mention of it occurs in the annals of 1558. According to another version, in the eighteenth century in the village, which was located exactly in this very place, cotton cloths were painted in large quantities. To accelerate the process, residents used a special wooden form with a previously cut relief pattern, which was then painted with different colors. Covering the chintzes with colorful colored patterns, the masters seemed to "print". Subsequently, the whole area began to be called Pechatniki. As you can see, the versions are very different, but the essence of this does not change.

Features of registration of the station

The Pechatniki metro station is a three-track, that is, with two rows of columns, and belongs to the group of small deposits. The latter means that this stop was built by an open method of unified prefabricated structures made of reinforced concrete. The depth of the deposit in this case is no more than five meters. A distinctive feature of the station is the presence of several additional floor supports, which are parallel to the anfilad axis. Travel walls are faced with black and gray marble, for the decoration of columns, pink marble is used. As for the floor, it is lined with multicolored granite, which forms an ornament of the correct form. The luminaires of the original design, mounted in a wavy ceiling, form the basis of lighting. Particularly noteworthy is a large panel, located in the lobby and made in a special technique for painting on metal. The painting was made by the artist VA Bubnov and is devoted to the work and rest of Muscovites. Outside the entrance hall of the Pechatniki metro station (Pechatniki district) is decorated in red and white colors.

Traffic junction

The exit to the city from this stop is carried out on the stairs through the eastern vestibule. From here passengers can get on the streets of Polbina, Guryanov and Shosseynaya. The western vestibule is currently closed, but even under opening conditions, due to its small size, it can only be used as an exit. It should be noted that in the future the management of the Moscow metro is going to extend the Kakhovka branch directly to the Kashirskaya station. The corresponding transplant will be carried out through this unused exit of the western lobby of the Pechatniki metro station. The construction of this interchange node is planned in the very near future. In addition, before the station "Pechatniki" there are congresses on the connecting branch (two ways) in the electric depot, which currently serves the line in question.
