But over time, plastic doors can fail. You can repair them in own cases.

When may repairs be required?

Even the most high-quality plastic product after a certain period of operation will necessarily need repair (or adjustment). Quite often, the repair of plastic windows and doors may be required earlier than the period declared by the manufacturer, for example, when they are installed in the first year after commissioning of a building that can sink. Repair of plastic entrance doors, as a rule, is required less often, but under certain conditions. Especially important for the front door is the quality of its installation. Unskilled and even simply inexperienced installers, not knowing all the subtleties of this process, can make many serious mistakes.

Entrance doors

How to lower or lift the sash?

It is covered by a decorative strip, which is easily "unfastened". Thus, you can raise the door by four millimeters or lower by one millimeter.

How to adjust the clamp?

There are two types of this adjustment:

• Fine adjustment. It is carried out within a half millimeter by means of a screw located in the upper end of the loop.
• Rough adjustment. In this case, the door is removed from the hinges, and then a part of the hinge mounted on the box is adjusted with a screw.

Repair of plastic balcony doors

The problems of this type of door are in many ways similar to the problems of input models. Over time, they can skew, which is more associated with the temperature drop (especially when the balcony is not glazed and not insulated). • Sagging loops;

Handle repair

This is the biggest trouble of plastic doors. If you encounter it, we recommend that you replace it. Make it simple. Turn a ninety degree plate (decorative) located at the base of the handle. Then use a screwdriver to unscrew all the screws and install a new one in place of the failed pen.

Door sagging

Repair of the rod

Quite often in plastic windows over time, wears an elastic band-seal, located on the perimeter of the leaf. This breaks the tightness of the window, the sound insulation deteriorates, the design begins to let in air.

The sealing may be affected by the effect of thermal deformation. That's why you should periodically adjust the window. When closing the sash, in order to strengthen the sealing, it is necessary to turn the trunnion (the protruding cylinder of the rounded shape). It is located in the slots of the metal plugs. Turn it to the inside of the window. If you need to reduce the sealing, then turn this element to the outside.
