In search of an answer to the question: "What dish to cook for dinner?" Once received an answer from his family: "Baked potato with chicken!". I liked the idea, especially since soups and cereals were already fed up. I wanted something original and tasty. So, we'll cook.

In order to have a delicious chicken and potato casserole for dinner, it is important that all the products are fresh. For cooking, we need 500 grams of chicken fillet, half a kilogram of fresh potatoes, two large onions, 100 ml of cream, two large spoons of mayonnaise, salt, greens and a little black ground pepper. At first, we cut chicken fillets with oblong slabs or just cubes, as you like. Then lay the chicken on the bottom of the mold, salt and a little pepper. Mayonnaise and cream combine, whisk a bit and pour this mixture on the chicken. A little of this creamy sauce is left to water the potatoes. Next, we clean the onions, cut them in half rings, spread them on the chicken fillet. My potato, clean, cut with rings and gently lay out on meat. Then we pour the remaining creamy sauce, salt and send it to the oven for 40 minutes. By the way, for 5 minutes before readiness, you can sprinkle the casserole with cheese, you will get a cheese crust. Finished dish sprinkled with herbs and served for dinner. Baked potato with chicken ready. You can treat yourself!

It should be noted that chicken meat can be replaced by any other: pork, beef, rabbit or even fish. I even cooked with ham, because there was no meat in the fridge, it was very tasty. But still the casserole from the potato with the chicken turned out tastier, although with the ham they ate everything to pieces.

I want to suggest another interesting variant - a chicken pie with mushrooms. I tried to cook it. It turned out delicious! And a lot of time does not go away for cooking. We need 400 grams of chicken fillet, 200 grams of mushrooms (as usual, I take mushrooms, since other mushrooms are difficult to find in fresh form), 1 large potato, half a glass of cream, medium-sized onions, salt and greens. Chicken fillet finely chopped and fried with chopped mushrooms. Then finely shinkem bow, put in meat, salt, mix and a little fry. Next, put it all in the form, we rub the potatoes from above, level the surface and compact it a little. Pour all the cream, sprinkle with herbs and bake in the oven until golden brown. The taste of this casserole is so mushy and aromatic it turns out.

And if there is no meat at all, the potato casserole with cheese will save, the recipes of which can be easily found. But I usually cook according to my proven recipe. So, to prepare this simple casserole, we need 5 large potatoes, 200 grams of cheese, 1 egg, 100 grams of cream (I take 12% cream), a spoon of mayonnaise, salt, greens. We wash the potatoes, clean and cut them with a small cube. The smaller the cube, the better the casserole will be baked.

We prepare the fill. Egg, cream, mayonnaise, salt and finely chopped greens whisk together with a mixer until smooth. Put the potatoes in a roasting dish, pour in cream filling. We put in the oven to bake. When the golden crust is formed from above, take out the casserole and sprinkle it with grated cheese. I use cheese "Table" or "Dutch", although any cheese of solid sorts will do. Again we send it to the oven for 10 minutes. Ready casserole served hot, otherwise the cheese will harden.

Casseroles in the oven can be cooked from any foods that are found in your refrigerator. Was surprised when her husband cooked potato casserole with fish and carrots. The scheme is exactly the same as with a chicken, just instead of chicken fillet there was salmon and carrots. Very original taste. It is worth trying to cook. Have a nice appetite!
