How to write a characteristic? Brief recommendations

Sooner or later, almost every one of us faces the question of how to write a characterization. You can easily cope with this work, if you imagine what information blocks this document should contain.

The first block (at the very beginning of the characteristic) should familiarize the employer (or another official) with biographical data. The full name of the employee, date and place of his birth, education received. If there are several diplomas, then they are listed either in chronological order or put on the first place an education that allows to occupy this position.

The second unit should inform about the position of the employee, his duties, the time of work in this unit. If the characteristics of the student are drawn from the practice, then the tasks and objectives of his work are indicated. The following are the qualities related to the professional sphere. It is necessary to evaluate the employee's working capacity and competence, his business and professional qualities. First, in accordance with Article 14 of the LC, the characteristic, as a document containing personal information, is issued only upon a written application and must be signed. This also applies to cases in which the characterization is issued at the request of law enforcement agencies.

Secondly, the characterization is made by the immediate supervisor, but is signed by a superior supervisor and certified by a round seal.

Finally, the document must be properly registered and have an outgoing number.
