How to install a partition in the apartment with plasterboard

In modern conditions, partitions in apartments are installed more often. But the most common material for creating a septum is drywall. It is universal in use and easy to install, regardless of the room.

The plasterboard partition in the apartment must be installed in compliance with very important rules. First you need to build a frame from the metal profile, and inside it put all the necessary communications. Then the plasterboard is covered with plasterboard sheets, which can be covered with a finishing coat. It can be pasting wallpaper or painting. The installation of partitions in an apartment can be divided into stages. The first step is to mark the location of the profile on the walls and floor. To do this, you need to tie a new cable at one end, and pull the other cable out of the structure, behind the other end.

The fourth stage is the plasterboard carcass plating. Self-tapping screws are used to attach it to the metal profile. It is necessary to ensure that they enter the frame to a depth of at least one centimeter. In this case, the head of the screw should be buried one millimeter in the metal sheet itself.

Before the partition in the apartment is completely sheathed, its interior space is filled with polystyrene or mineral wool. Then the drywall is attached to the second side in a similar way.

The final stage of the installation involves applying the finishing putty to the surface and then grinding the layer. When all the main work is completed, you can paste the wall with wallpaper or paint in the right color.
