SUV Hunter

UAZ Hunter came to replace the UAZ-3151 (or 469), which was manufactured more than thirty years. Externally, the new SUV resembles its legendary predecessor, but it was created on an entirely new platform. The use of modern components and a set of advanced technical solutions made it possible to create a reliable and easy to use, dynamic and economical, comfortable and stable all-terrain vehicle. And of course, the traditional advantages inherent in all UAZ cars are also preserved, low price at high passability.

Now it is not a military car with a strict design without excess, but a modern SUV that can fit into the city stream. At first glance at UAZ Hunter (photo below), you can note more aesthetic and safe plastic bumpers with built - in fog lights, decorative fenders and 16-inch wheels. Sliding glass is now installed instead of rotating glass. This greatly improves visibility, ventilation and facilitates access to the rearview mirrors for their adjustment. Thanks to the double contour of the door seal, the car has become less noisy. Also, the microclimate became better maintained and the moisture penetrated into the interior less. The back door of the trunk is swinging, and the side version is installed on the version with the awning. Looks good and the reserve in the case, posted on the back door. By the way, for an additional fee you can put on UAZ Hunter alloy wheels or repaint the car in metallic color.

The interior of the car has also undergone significant changes. The interior space now allows you to comfortably accommodate both passengers and the driver. New front seats can be adjusted (tilt the back, lengthwise, change the lumbar support), which makes it convenient to accommodate people of different physiques. But the steering column is not regulated either by flight or by height.

In the back row is also quite convenient. Space for the feet is enough even for people of very high stature. Seats of the rear row can be adjusted only by the inclination of the backrest. Even this single function greatly adds comfort. To obtain a berth, the seats can be lowered. For a surcharge in UAZ Hunter, you can install a couple more seats.

Landing is high, there are no running boards. The torpedo is made of dark gray plastic. The speedometer is somewhere under the steering wheel, because of which the readings from it are difficult to read. On the center console, there are still sensors for the temperature of the internal combustion engine, the charge of the battery, the amount of fuel and the oil pressure. But it is not very easy to read information from them, since the instruments are located parallel to the torpedo.

Designed for the cold winter UAZ Hunter, tuning which can be done in a special showroom, got the floors covered with carpet. Press the switch to turn on the stove. There are no temperature adjustments, only the blowing force (strong mode and average) can be changed. If the street is very cold, you can open the damper, because of which the air will come from the fan directly. This will allow the air to warm up more quickly.

In the UAZ Hunter, you can put one of the engines: 16-valve petrol (2,700 liters, 140 hp), carburetor UMZ-409.10 (2,900 hp, 100 hp), diesel ZMZ-5143 (2,240 hp, 98 hp), turbodiesel 4CT90-Andoria (2,400 hp, 86 hp). Also installed LUK-clutch, five-speed manual transmission, distributing helical box, Spicer bridges, disc brakes. Front suspension spring, rear spring.

UAZ Hunter is simple and unpretentious in service. Good dynamic characteristics of this car, moderate fuel consumption, excellent cross-country ability and high payload will please its future owner.
