How to glue PDF documents into one file: the simplest methods

Quite often there are situations where, for example, to organize documents or make them easier to read, you need to merge several PDF files into one. You can paste PDF documents together in several simple ways. But when performing some operations, it is necessary to take into account some nuances.

How to glue PDF files into one using Adobe Acrobat Professional?

The most traditional method of combining several files of this format into one document is using the "native" Adobe Acrobat program, preferably the Professional version. If you try to perform such an operation in the usual "Reader" it will not work.

You can glue the PDF documents using the main file menu of the application, where you need to select the Create PDF item and go to the Combine Files into a Single PDF line. In the pop-up window for selecting the desired objects from the bottom, you need to set the PDF in the format string, because by default all the supported formats are supposed to be opened.

Now you need to select the files. Note that if you select them with the Shift key held down, the selection will touch intermediate objects, so you should use the Ctrl key, and then click the Add button. After that, the selected files will appear in the special area File to Combine. Here it is worth paying attention to the fact that the order of objects will directly depend on their position when selecting (sorting). To move the document up and down, it needs to be whitewashed with a left click and use the Move Up and Move Down buttons. These buttons can be found in the special area Arrange Files. In addition to them, there is also a button for deleting the selected document (Remove). To view the received order, use the button of the usual preview.

When everything is ready, it remains to press the "OK" button, after which it will be offered to save the received document. The file type field specifies the PDF format, and then simply confirms the save.

How to glue 2 PDF files and more with a format conversion?

If there is no above program, you can go in a roundabout way. You can glue PDF documents with PDF to JPG and JPG to PDF converters.

First, you need to convert PDF files to JPG images, and then rename the resulting images in the order in which they should follow each other when merged. Now you need to start the image converter in PDF format, add the numbered files to the application workspace, specify the location of the destination file and start the conversion process.

Using special utilities

The second option for a large number of documents is quite inconvenient. Therefore, to simplify the work, you can use a small free utility called PDF Split-Merge (it, by the way, allows you to merge and split files of this format).

In this case, you just need to add the files, observing the necessary order and start the conversion process.

You can also glue PDF files with the Foxit Phantom PDF application. In principle, the actions from the previous program are practically the same. Only the names of the main menus and commands differ. But this utility is interesting because when you combine documents you can set a limit on the size of the created file, and if you want you can still edit the text, and even replace the fonts.

Processing documents online

Finally, if the user is too lazy to deal with such transformations, you can find on the Internet a lot of specialized resources like PDF Joiner, where documents can be merged online. Here everything is simple: you just need to add the files in the order in which they should be in the new document, if necessary, change the documents in places, and then activate the processing start. When the conversion is complete, you simply upload the result to your computer. The limitation is only that no more than 20 objects can be added at a time.
