How to cook tiramisu at home.

Tiramisy (Italian Tiramisù) is definitely one of the most popular desserts of the world. It is an authentic Italian dish that is served in almost all self-respecting restaurants, regardless of their national cuisine.

Italians also argue that you can try real tiramisu only in Italy. Perhaps they have a reason for this, but lovers of this delicacy have long learned to prepare tiramisu at home.

Following them, we will consider two things: first, what you need to buy for cooking tiramisu and, secondly, how to prepare tiramisu by yourself.

What do tiramisu in Italy do?

At the heart of this unique dessert is mascarpone cheese, which has a 55% fat content and is made from excellent cream, taken from the milk of Italian cows grazing on the Apennine peninsula. This cheese is not like any other and resembles butter and very fatty sour cream at the same time. It is thanks to its creamy consistency and exquisite taste mascarpone is part of many Italian (and not only) desserts.

The second irreplaceable "Italian" component of tiramisu is called Savoyardi air biscuit, derived from flour, sugar and protein and made in the form of tubules.

And, finally, the most unique ingredient is the wine of Marsala, called "culinary wine" for its outstanding taste. This is a fairly strong drink (18-20% alcohol), produced in Sicily since the XXVIII century and certified by DOC (Denominazione di Origine Controllata), confirming the unquestionable quality of the product.

In addition to these ingredients, ingredients that are difficult to access outside Italy, eggs and coffee are added to the dessert. Tiramisu is not baked, but is cooled in the refrigerator.

Now the savoyardi cookies. It can be changed to ordinary biscuit sticks, freely sold in our stores. If desired, the sticks can be baked on their own, the benefit recipes are available.

The wine of Marsala is replaced by any alcohol. To taste, as they say. It can be cognac, brandy, rum, liqueur, martini. The better the quality of the drink, the better, of course, the final result.

In short - great opportunities for experiment.

Translation of the combination of Italian words tira mi sù can be interpreted as "lifting mood", "exciting" and "saturating". All three options are great for characterizing this wonderful dessert.
