How to clean suede from salt? Practical recommendations

Suede shoes are attractive to everyone - quality, comfort, softness. But in the rain or in the snow it gets wet, from the salt, which is strewn with roads, unpleasant spots appear on it. But if you want to look beautiful in the frosty weather and feel comfortable, we still wear suede boots or boots. To make suede shoes always look perfect, you need to constantly and, most importantly, clean it properly. But how to clean suede from salt?

First of all, after buying, shoes made from suede need to be treated with a water-repellent protective spray that will not let it get wet and protect it from salt and dirt. To achieve the best result, the first spray treatment is best done three times, as to clean the suede from salt afterwards is quite a labor-consuming occupation.

Returning home, before cleaning suede from salt and dirt, it must be dried well. To do this, inside the boots or boots you need to put crumpled newspapers that absorb moisture well. Never dry shoes from suede from a battery or heater, as it will lose shape. Dry boots are cleaned with a special eraser or a brush. If there are no brushes, you can clean the shoes with a crust of rye bread.

It is also useful to use a water repellent spray, which creates an invisible layer on the shoes, protecting it from dirt, salt and moisture. It is better to apply it in the evening, and not before going out.

In some cases, before cleaning the suede shoes from salt and strong dirt, immediately after the street, while still wet, it needs to be washed with a soap solution, using a toothbrush instead of a sponge. Dry the shoes after this procedure and no white stains on it does not remain.

In cases where suede becomes moldy, it must be cleaned with a damp cloth soaked in gasoline. Traces of coloring drinks, such as Coca-Cola or Pepsi, are cleaned with a special brush and steam, and the shiny areas can be brought to a pristine appearance with the help of liquid ammonia, in the amount of ¼ cup, which is bred in half a glass of water. Soaked in such a solution of a piece of clean tissue should be applied to the shiny places, and then rinse with acidified vinegar water (in proportion: per liter of water, one teaspoon of vinegar).

There are also ways that teach how to clean suede from salt, dirt and mold: 10% ammonia is diluted with water in a proportion of one to four and cleans the suede with a piece of cotton wool, which is changed as it gets dirty. After cleaning, the suede needs to be wiped clean with a cotton swab dipped in water. To the water, you can add a little vinegar at the rate of one teaspoon per liter of water. And here's another way: a teaspoon of soda should be diluted in a glass of milk and this mixture should clean the contaminated shoes.

Now we all know how to clean suede from salt, dirt and other unpleasant things, so winter boots or boots made of soft and beautiful suede will always look like new ones. Pretty suede shoes will cheer up their mistresses for a long time.
