How to become a notary

Today, many young people who are thinking about their future profession pay attention to the activities of notaries, expressing a desire to replenish their ranks. Although this is difficult, it is quite possible.

How to become a notary? It is necessary to remember the main rule - a notary must necessarily have citizenship of the Russian Federation. On the one hand, this is the easiest requirement for an applicant who has a desire to occupy this position.

Excellent education, always at the Faculty of Law, is the second determining factor. A person who is thinking how to become a notary must be a competent specialist in the field of jurisprudence, also a broad profile. The candidate's education should not be clearly one-sided.

Thirdly, after completing studies and leaving the walls of a university with a diploma, it is necessary to practice with an existing notary. You should practice for at least a year, but it becomes a little easier for a notary to be a private and a practitioner. And if you have ever worked as a lawyer, then, according to the law, you can easily claim that the Federal Chamber of Notaries and the Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation will reduce this term to six months for you.

Then you need to pass the qualification exam. Accept it will be a specially created commission at your university, and you will have to compete with a huge number of people - one place claims several destyakov people. If you do not pass the contest, then next time you can take exams only in a year, again meeting competitors and numerous contestants.

If, nevertheless, you are in a certain number of excellent students, and successfully passed all the competitive tests, prepare - you have to take an oath and get a license for activities after a month after passing the exams. Reflecting on how to become a notary, remember that in case you do not start working right away for three years after school, you will have to take an advanced exam again and get a license again.

Why is not even the presence of an official license-permit for activities not necessarily mean that you will be recruited? Unfortunately for a huge number of applicants, in our country the number of notaries already in office in each city is permanent, while it is strictly limited by modern law. And you can apply for this position only if the place is vacated for some reason. This happens in one of several cases: a working notary retires, sells his place, or decides to voluntarily leave it for personal reasons, loses his license (this is a criminal offense). Of course, such cases occur very rarely. But the number of issued licenses increases day by day.

Why they are issued in such quantities is also understandable. In addition to examinations, there are a lot of different contributions (considerable sums) that are paid by each applicant. Thus, the notary license is bought and sold. And the notary's place is extremely profitable - so many people want to take it. But only those who know how to become a notary and can, in fact, show their perseverance in mastering this profession can get it.

The work of a notary is as follows:

All actions are carried out in accordance with the law. These include:

  • Confirmation of issued powers of attorney;
  • Certification of the authenticity of the signature;
  • Assurance of copies of various documents or transfers, transactions, wills;
  • Issue of a certificate of inheritance rights.

The effect of a notary is recognized to be completed only after the client has paid the state fee (or a fixed amount). All tariffs are specified in the legislation of the Russian Federation. So, you must be persistent in achieving your goal.
