Gymnastics is not just a sport ...

What is gymnastics? Why is it needed? What kinds of it exist? Who should do it? Today we will try to answer all these questions.

Gymnastics for children

Gymnastics is a collection of specially selected exercises that help not only to awaken the body from sleep in the morning, as we used to think from childhood, but also to strengthen health in general.

Gymnastics is also called gymnastics. And it's no accident. After all, it helps in raising children in preschool and school age. After the morning, these or other physical exercises will be done, the children will be in a good mood, and there will be an emotional upsurge. Also after charging, a drowsy state disappears and working capacity improves.

In addition to all this, charging helps to develop discipline in children and overcome laziness. If the morning gymnastics of the house is compared with gymnastics in kindergarten or school, in the first case it helps to awaken the body from sleep, and in the second it carries organizational moments.

The whole point of morning gymnastics in kindergartens or schools is that hyperactive children calm down, and in low-activity, on the contrary, they are filled with energy.

How to do gymnastics?

We have already said that gymnastics is a set of exercises that invigorate the body. To achieve this goal, it is necessary not to force the child to do gymnastics, but to interest him in the game form to do exercises that will be useful. For example, you can say; "Do you know how the frogs jump? Let's show it together! ". It is very important that you are an example for imitation, so it is worth doing morning exercises with your baby.

How correctly to do gymnastics? First of all, it should start with walking on the spot or in a circle, while saying: "Our feet are walking!". Children raise their legs high, after 1-1.5 minutes of such actions, it is necessary to complicate the task, for example: "Now they are reaching for the sun!" Or "Now we are walking like bears!". In the first case, the children in walking raise their hands up and slowly lower, and in the second the guys walk on the inside of the foot, rocking like bears. Here it is worth paying attention not only to the correct performance of exercises, but also to breathing.

After these exercises, as a rule, enter games with the ball and simulate the actions of various animals.

Types of gymnastics

Soviet teachers and psychologists divided gymnastics into types. All of them have their own specific tasks.

  1. Educational and developmental gymnastics is aimed at the development and general strengthening of the body for certain individuals or for this or that age. This includes developing gymnastics for schoolchildren and preschoolers, women's (aimed at developing and strengthening the female body), athletic (aimed at power activities) and some other kinds.
  2. Wellness gymnastics is aimed at improving the body. This kind of charge includes gymnastics, gymnastics (today its use has been widely used in lessons in schools), rhythm and therapeutic gymnastics.
  3. Sports gymnastics are aimed at developing physical qualities and willpower. This includes rhythmic gymnastics and sports acrobatics. Having mastered the technique of these or those physical exercises, children participate in showing their sports skills.

A little bit about rhythmic gymnastics

Artistic gymnastics today is in high demand among boys and girls of preschool and primary school age. In addition, this sport is popular among women. It involves performing certain exercises synchronously with the music with the subject (it can be a hoop, ball, tape, etc.) or without it.

Not for nothing that one of the most beautiful sports is considered to be such gymnastics. This is not surprising. Surely you have watched the rhythmic gymnastics competitions on television more than once.

If you want your daughter to learn how to move as beautifully, then give it to the appropriate classes. The trainer in gymnastics will not only conduct training, but will also accompany his players in competitions and performances.

At what age can I do rhythmic gymnastics?

Experts answer this question in different ways. Some believe that it is very dangerous to engage in this sport for young children. Others argue that, on the contrary, it is very useful. Which of them is right?

In fact, for children between the ages of 3 and 10, rhythmic gymnastics is simply the performance of gymnastic exercises and the development of strength of mind. Professionally the guys begin to practice after 10 years. Here it is worth considering that the earlier a child starts to engage in this sport, the faster he can achieve success.

Is it possible to achieve something at an age, for example, 20 years? Of course, you can. First of all, people can prove to themselves that they can achieve certain results. Secondly, today you can attend classes for all age groups, where they can also prepare for competitions. Competitions in gymnastics in this case can not be of a high level, but on them everyone can demonstrate what he achieved for this or that period of engaging in this sport.
