French salad: let's choose a recipe for yourself

Have you ever tried French salad? Do you think that it was invented by French women to save their wasp waist? I do not know, but I think the reason is different. Just the ingredients of the salad in Soviet times were not available to everyone, that's someone from the housewives and gave this name to this dish.

In fact, there are completely different options for making such a salad: with mushrooms and chicken, dietary and high-calorie - for every taste.

This salad requires olives stuffed with tuna, mushrooms, bell pepper, boiled egg, sour cream, oregano, mayonnaise. We cut olives stuffed with tuna, in half, and sweet pepper slices. Protein egg boiled egg is finely chopped. Washed champignons cut into small slices and sprinkled with lemon juice. We prepare the dressing: mix sour cream, oregano and mayonnaise. Now add all the components of the salad in one container and mix. Top with French salad sprinkled with egg yolk.

But the next option just came to us from those times when it was impossible to get many of the above products. So the Soviet housewives invented different ways to prepare a French beauty salad without mayonnaise. We take potatoes, pieces so three-four, three carrots and beets, half a head of cabbage (white-headed), a bulb bigger, half a kilo of meat. Meat can be taken any: and beef, and chicken, and pork take, someone even lamb manages to use. For pouring, we need soy sauce, salt, 5% vinegar, black peppers and red (ground) peppers. In this salad, only two ingredients are processed - potatoes and meat. The rest of the ingredients go to the salad fresh. Finely chopped meat frying in a frying pan. While it is getting ready, we clean everything and shred the vegetables. Each type of vegetable is cut into a separate container. Potatoes fry until golden. Dressing is done like this: two tablespoons of vinegar thoroughly mixed with soy sauce, peppers and salt. And now it's time to put everything together. As you can see, there is no need for oil in this salad, because in itself fried potatoes and meat will give fatty dishes. Mixing all the ingredients and filling them with filling, we get a hearty and at the same time not very high-calorie (because without mayonnaise) French salad with chicken (or other meat).

And now we suggest you try a vegetarian French salad . To make it you need a hundred grams of dried peas, four hundred grams of potatoes, two hundred grams of beets, salt, sunflower oil, pepper. Cook separately peas and potatoes, bake beets in the oven. Boiled potatoes and peeled baked beets are cut into cubes. Mix them with peas. Pepper and salted everything, fill with oil. If you want to slightly change this salad, you can fill it with sour cream instead of butter, and sprinkle it with egg yolk.

And there is also such an option for a light meal called "French salad" with seafood. To cook it, you will need literally fifteen minutes, of which only five for self preparation, and fifteen to prepare food. Give you a recipe for two servings: one avocado, two cherry pods (yellow and red), fifty grams of shrimp, mussels and squid, thirty grams of leeks, ten grams of soy sauce, a tablespoon of olive oil and a teaspoon of lemon juice. Before we do the avocado, we will put seafood to boil. Let's start cooking with avocado. We cut it in half, take out a bone from it, clean it and cut it into small cubes. While we were engaged in avocados, shrimps and mussels were already cooked in one saucepan, and peeled squid - in another. Finished calamari cut into thin strips, cherry - into cubes, and onions to rings. Mix all the ingredients in a salad bowl, season with a mixture of soy sauce, lemon juice and olive oil. If you like spicy dishes, you can slightly season the salad with white white pepper. There is another option for this salad. We beat in a blender finely chopped dill and parsley with lemon juice, olive oil and soy sauce. Let's mix this mixture for five minutes, and fill the salad. Very tasty and fragrant!
