Prosvirnik (malva) is a valuable ornamental plant with huge leaves of round shape and with large velvet flowers. Beautiful mallow flowers live about two years, grow to two meters and have very long roots.   • Musk, or as it is also called - Muscat - is a beautiful ornamental plant growing to about one meter in height. The flower mallow is very beautiful, it can be white, pink. In loose form, the diameter can reach five centimeters. These flowers look very gently and quite effectively. They were called so because of the smell of musk in the smell. Flowering occurs, like all members of this family, from mid-June to late August. This species includes a low plant with white flowers - the "White Tower". Its peculiarity is that flowering occurs for a long time, up to the first frosts.
  • Malva forest differs from its relatives in that it can reach a height of 120 centimeters. Most often, such an ornamental plant lives about a year, but many believe that this species can exist twice as long. The flowers of the mallow are very beautiful, have a pinkish hue with purple insets. There are several varieties of this species. For example, large spreading flowers of a gently pink color with red veins have a variety of "Zebrin". Also here comes the gloomy, but rather elegant "Black Mother of Pearl".
  • Another representative is mallow stock-pink. It grows only 90 centimeters in height. Its magnificence pleases quite a short time, abundant flowering occurs a little later than the rest - from July to August.

Care

To the plant lived as long as possible, it should be taken care of. For this, it is necessary to plant the seedlings in well-fertilized soil. Also, mallow flowers need a lot of water and plenty of sunlight. Poorly tolerate natural phenomena such as wind, so they are preferable to protect it. Although the plant is hygrophilous, irrigation should be rational, since stagnant waters will only harm it.

Reproduction

Like most flowers, mallow breeds with seeds and cuttings. They are planted in the soil from May to June. Grow this plant quite simply, for which most gardeners love it. A great danger for them is slugs, after the invasion of which they may perish. Also, do not put this delicate flower in front of metal fences, as the plant can develop rust.
