Fires in the Trans-Baikal Territory. Causes of the disaster

Fire is an amazing natural element. For centuries, people domesticated it and made it useful to humanity. Thanks to him, you can sit by the fire in the evening and get warm in the cold winter. However, despite this, he remained wild and unpredictable. One wrong move - a friend becomes an enemy. Every year in different parts of our planet forest fires are burning out. They differ in scale and destructiveness: some manage to do little damage, spoil property, others - take dozens of lives.

Destructive fires in the Trans-Baikal Territory

According to some reports, the main cause of forest fires is the banal human factor. Even a cigarette butt, accidentally thrown to the ground, can lead to disastrous consequences. But the main problem is uncontrolled burning of dried up vegetation, as a result of which the fire is easily transferred to extensive forest land. This applies not only to the deliberate felling of dry grass, but to any other source of open fire. In the Trans-Baikal Territory, the storm raged last summer. 1619 hectares burned.

Possible causes of fire

Who is responsible for all forest fires in the Trans-Baikal Territory, investigators now find out. When will it be known that in fact it is a simple negligence or malicious intent?

There is a rather eloquent fact that there was a person's hand there. Fires in the Trans-Baikal Territory have a rather strange nature - fires occur simultaneously in different places. Everything was complicated by the fact that rescuers discovered in the forest a teenager who tried to kindle a "fire" with a can of gasoline. The exact number of perpetrators is unknown, but there are suspicions that the subversive group was operating. If we admit the probability that this destructive fire appeared naturally, then most likely it would have only one hearth. For example, this could happen as a result of a lightning strike, but since the sources of ignitions are completely different, it is obvious that it was arson. The press secretary of the head of state added that the situation was complicated by favorable weather conditions - dryness, strong wind and high temperatures.

Active actions of rescuers

To extinguish fires in the Trans-Baikal Territory, the authorities attracted more than two hundred firefighters and about fifty units of equipment, among them also two aircraft. To rescue rescuers, the helicopter of the Ministry of Emergency Situations was promptly dispatched . According to the latest data, strict security measures were adopted and an emergency regime was declared. This implies a complete ban on visiting forests and nearby areas. The authorities appealed to the residents of the region and the villagers with a convincing request not to build fire on open land. Fortunately, firemen managed to liquidate more than fifteen separate fires in an area of less than two thousand hectares.

Scale of fire

According to unofficial data, the fires have quickly spread to many areas. Fires in the Trans-Baikal Territory counted in a lot in sixteen locations. Suffered Shilkinsky, Aginsky, Chita, Akshinsky, Chernyshevsky, Boleysky, Khiloksky, Karymsky, Mogoytuysky, Krasnochikoysky, Kirinsky, Nerchinsk, Mogoytuysky, Olovyanninsky, Ononsky, Petrovsk-Zabaikalsky and Uletovskiy districts. The greatest number of forest fires was registered in Chita - twenty-eight large fires. As is known, at the initial level it was possible to prevent the ignition of many other sources.

Victims and Damage

Unfortunately, when it comes to such major catastrophes, it is extremely difficult to know the exact and reliable state of affairs. According to the information provided, six people were seriously injured and three died. All the survivors were given emergency aid. So, victims of a fire in the Trans-Baikal Territory were immediately hospitalized. Among the dead was a three-year old child. Because of the strong gusty wind, the fire that burned in the forest spread to the settlement of Smolenka. The "Polyanka" cooperative and other residential buildings that were on its territory were completely burned down. At that time, the evacuation regime was immediately announced. Residents were urgently urged to leave the village so that rescuers could lead a catastrophic fire from the settlement. Also, people from neighboring villages were advised to collect their belongings and documents so that in case of emergency it would be possible to leave the dangerous territory quickly.

The situation was complicated by the fact that the fire came close to military depots where signal ammunition and grenades have been stored for a long time. Some eyewitnesses claim that explosions were heard. Fortunately, for today this incident is more or less exhausted. The authorities took the most effective preventive measures to avoid further relapse. In such situations it is important to realize that the solution to the problem depends on the responsible approach of each resident. Every effort should be made to ensure that the beautiful Trans-Baikal Territory is no longer in flames.
