The main role in the film - the brave lord Glenarvan - went to the famous actor Nikolai Eremenko, Jr..

Lord Glenarvan quite accidentally in the waters of Scotland catches a bottle of champagne, which contains three strange notes. A little later it turns out that the same text is written in three languages - a call for help from a certain Captain Grant, who disappeared with his crew a couple of years ago.

When the Scottish government refuses to look for Grant, Glenarvan decides to go on his own, collecting a brave team for this. After incredible and life-threatening tests, Glenarvan manages to keep his word and find the unfortunate captain.

Nikolay Eremenko played in many popular films: "Pirates of the XX Century", "Knight's Novel", "Red and Black". Unfortunately, the actor died early: in 52 years he was struck by a stroke.

But Tamara Akulova, who played the role of Helen Glenarvan, is still alive. However, from 2013 the actress does not act in film. Her last screen work was the role of Rimma Ratnikova in the series "Women on the Verge." Also in the filmography of the actress appear shooting in the films "Poor Masha", "European History", "Sunday Dad", "Diva Mary" and "The Adventures of the Magician."

In the film "In Search of Captain Grant" the actors of the main roles are mostly men. Tamara Akulova and her character Helen, as well as Galina Strutinskaya (Mary Grant) became a kind of adornment in the company of brave and bearded men led by Lord Glenarvan.

Vladimir Gostyukhin as McNabbs

The film "In Search of Captain Grant", whose actors were so fond of the viewer, made Vladimir Gostyukhin popular in the adventure film of the fearless Major Mak-Nabbs.

McNabbs is a companion of the Glenarvan couple, who provides every assistance in the search for the missing captain Grant. He is one of the most experienced participants in the expedition, who is well versed in weapons and possesses the necessary skills of survival. You can always rely on McNabbs.

Before the participation in Stanislav Govorukhin's painting, Vladimir Gostyukhin enjoyed popularity and received major roles: for example, in the film "The Contract of the Century", where he played a couple with Nikolai Karachentsov, or in the film "Moon Rainbow", where Vasily became a partner of the actor on the set Livanov.

After the role of Mak-Nabbs, Gostyukhin played many more good screen characters. One of the most colorful is the trucker Fyodor Afanasyev from the series "Truckers".

Oleg Stefanko as Captain Mangles

In the film "In Search of Captain Grant" the actors are young and attractive. Especially distinguished among them is Oleg Stefanko, who has a simple Hollywood appearance: a handsome, broad-shouldered, with whitened hair and blue eyes.

The young actor got the role of Captain John Mangles, who also takes part in a dangerous journey. Towards the end of the movie, the character Stefanko falls in love with Captain Grant's daughter - Mary - and asks for her hand.

Lembit Ulfsak in the role of Jacques Paganel

The actors of the film "In Search of Captain Grant" were remembered by the audience with their bright and characteristic characters. The most striking of them, perhaps, can be called the hero Lembit Ulfsaka - Jacques Paganel.

Paganel is a scientist, a polyglot. But he is incredibly absent-minded, which often gets into funny situations. But sometimes his absent-mindedness causes more problems than he would like: for example, when decoding cards, he makes a silly mistake, as a result of which the expedition leaves for South America, instead of looking for Grant off the coast of Australia.

Paganel knows about his shortcomings and is not averse to laughing at them himself. But in the end, his absent-mindedness turns out to be useful and saves the life of the main characters in the finale of the film.

Lembit Ulfsak, who played the role of Paganel, is also known to the audience for the role of Mr. "Hey" in the musical film "Mary Poppins, Goodbye!". The actor has played many more roles in a wide variety of films. Remains it in demand to this day. His last film is connected with the film "The End of the Beautiful Age" by Stanislav Govorukhin.
