Fibrooadenomatosis of the breast - what is it?

Very often recently doctors diagnose "fibroadenomatosis of the breast". What it is? This disease is also called "mastopathy". The etiology of this ailment is as follows:

  • Ovarian polypermenorrhea or, conversely, hypermenorrhea;
  • Thyroid dysfunction;
  • Liver disease;
  • Constant stress;
  • Poor heredity.

Let's take a closer look at the factors that cause fibroadenomatosis of the breast, what is it and how to treat it? So, any diseases in which a hormonal failure occurs can cause the development of this ailment. Very often a woman does not suspect the danger that lurks in a small solid tumor on the chest, and does not attach importance to it until the cysts increase and begin to cause pain. The vast majority of patients turn to the doctor only when the nature of the disease has become serious and threatens with oncology.

Species of mastopathy

There are several varieties of this disease:

  1. Localized fibroadenomatosis of the mammary gland . This disease is characterized by the presence of seals, grouped in certain places.
  2. Diffuse fibro-adenomatosis of mammary glands. Treatment depends on the degree of the disease: fibrotic manifestation or fibrocystic. In any case, the seals have no clear boundaries and are not connected to the tissues. They are quite mobile.
  3. Mastalgia . A kind of "phantom" disease. The pain is there and on palpation it is strengthened, but there are no seals that can cause it. Very often mastalgia is confused with premenstrual tension of the gland, which is quite natural for the second half of the cycle. But sometimes this may be the first sign of the development of a disease such as fibroadenomatosis of the breast. What is it: a disease or a symptom of impending menstruation? To accurately answer, you need to go through a mammogram and consult a doctor. In case of any manifestations of the disease, it is better to be reinsured and recover, because these benign diseases can further provoke cancer! Women who have concomitant diseases of the breast, automatically fall into the risk zone of oncology.

Types of formations

The breast of a woman consists of several layers, each of which has its own characteristics. Depending on the location of the compaction (in fibrous tissue or gland), two types of nodular formations are distinguished:

  1. Fibroadenomas . They are characterized by clear boundaries, which is good for palpation. Nodules have a fairly elastic consistency and respond with strong localized pain. They are mature (require surgical removal) and immature (pass themselves without a trace after puberty).
  2. Adenomas . They appear during puberty and are similar in symptoms to the immature form of mastopathy. This manifestation is to be treated in the form of a sectoral resection.

There is also another type of manifestation of such a malaise as fibroadenomatosis of the mammary gland. What it is? Usually it's a cyst. It has different forms, but always represents a neoplasm that appears in the ducts or alveoli, and is similar to a smooth-walled chamber filled with a brown liquid.
