Fatezh (cherry) in the suburbs

There is a sort of sweet cherry called "Fatezh". This low tree grows to three meters and gives an abundant harvest of fragrant and delicious berries. Fruit-bearing culture begins with the fifth year of life. A tree older than ten years is capable of giving more than 40 kilograms of berries per season. This plant is also an excellent element of decor in the country. Cherry Fatezh is more suitable for the capital of Russia and the Moscow region.

This culture does not tolerate weeds, so it is necessary to clean the top layer of the soil around the trunk constantly. Cherry is best planted at least two or three different varieties with the same flowering period. This is due to the fact that the plant is cross-pollinated. An excellent option is to plant the sweet cherry Fatezh next to the cherries, as the cherry pollen will pollinate the cherry blossoms perfectly.

Seedlings in the southern regions are planted in autumn. Cherry in the suburbs and more northern regions is planted in the spring.

Preparing the soil for planting trees, it is necessary to know that the horizontal roots of an adult plant are located at a depth of 30-80 centimeters, while the vertical ones go to a distance of more than two meters. Therefore, before planting trees, it is necessary, in addition to the pits, to carry out plantation plowing at the site of the planting of the garden.

The depth of the pits for seedlings must be at least 80 centimeters, and the width - 1 m. The trees are planted at a distance of about five meters from each other. You should not save on the spot, because at a small landing distance, the crowns of the adult trees will shade and press the rest of the plants.

Fatezh (cherry) is fed with slurry (1/8), a complex diluted fertilizer intended for fruit and berry crops (one hundred grams per bucket of water), and also infusion of ashes on water (1/10).

A roundabout circle is poured in a nutrient solution, which is cleared of weeds. Fertilizers do not pour to the base itself, but are distributed around the perimeter, as old roots are not able to absorb useful substances.

Every spring, Fatezh (cherry) before the swelling of the kidneys is cut. In this case, the broken and withered branches are removed, and the sections are treated with a special garden vine.
