Fighting the Colorado beetle with folk remedies is an effective way to tear your crop out of the clutches of the insidious striped pest and stay with the "second bread". So, friends, fight!

There is no limit to perfection

To begin with, we note that the methods of combating the Colorado potato beetle are quite diverse: some gardeners use only the folk methods, while others trust the latest achievements of the chemical industry - biological and chemical preparations against the striped pest. There are those who declare this insect a complex war. Nevertheless, neither one nor the other can completely exterminate these parasites. It is understandable: there is no limit to perfection, especially when the Colorado beetle acts as the enemy. Methods to combat this parasite to date only allow you to maintain a potato-safe number of beetles, rather than destroying them completely to a single one. About them and talk. We are interested in the folk technique, since we still consume the recovered potatoes for food.

Combating Colorado beetle folk remedies:

  1. Colorado beetles hate different smells. Plant between the beds "foul-smelling" plants: dill, garlic, beans, calendula.

  5. Mechanical control of the Colorado beetle by folk remedies is carried out and by means of their collection in a plastic bottle. Collect pests pour steep boiling water and throw it outside of your garden. If you leave the bottle in the garden, then the softened corpses of insects will attract new individuals, which is unacceptable.
  6. Prepare the houses potato cleaning, spread them over cans, pour a harmless for human and potato solution of carbophos and dig into the ground flush (the edges of the cans are flush with the earth's surface).
