With age, vision gradually deteriorates. Many factors accelerate this process. The situation is also aggravated by a genetic predisposition to eye diseases (myopia, or vice versa, hyperopia, strabismus). Therefore, caring for the eyes becomes one of the main tasks of every person who values his health.

Exercise for the eyes, vitamins, proper nutrition - these are the main weapons in the struggle to maintain good vision. Simple exercise and adequate nutrition can even reduce the process of deteriorating the properties of the visual system to a minimum for a long time. Do not neglect them. But also it is not necessary to wait, that these methods will help overnight.

There are, of course, more radical measures - laser correction, contact lenses and glasses, which do not require any effort from you. But only the natural way can give a lasting result, rather than provoke the development of the disease (as, for example, in the case of glasses).

Exercising the eyes with the help of special exercises also serves the prevention of diseases to which the person is predisposed (genetically or due to the influence of the environment, for example, due to constant work at the computer or driving behind the wheel).

Over the years, the elasticity of the lens of the eye, which makes it possible to distinguish objects far and near, deteriorates. Most exercises are focused on preserving this ability.

Exercise for the eyes is also aimed at enhancing the ability of the eye muscles to contract, which helps to focus the look on the subject. Hence the essence of one of the exercises: attention is focused on the far point, and then on the near point. Which allows to strengthen muscles.

The main principle of training

It is not necessary to reduce training to strengthening one of the functions of the eye, it is important to use them all. Since the development of some muscles makes it possible to see well in the distance, but at the same time provokes hyperopia. The other - myopia. It is important to develop both functions, so that the lens of the eye becomes either flat or convex, and does not lose its flexibility.

If by the nature of your activity you constantly have to focus your eyes on close objects (a book, a computer monitor, on a TV screen, documents), it is worth taking care of the muscles "do not forget" what it is like to see distant objects equally clearly. If you do not perform any exercises, gradually your vision will deteriorate: you will see distant objects blurred, and you will no longer be able to distinguish the expressions of passers-by, the number of cars, houses ...

To avoid such consequences of their work, every 1.5 hours to look at distant objects for 10 minutes; To allow the eyes to relax (close them for 2 minutes). And, of course, perform the exercises.

Simple exercises

Exercise for the eyes can consist of 4 simple exercises 2 times a day. They are reduced to the movement of the eyes: from right to left (effectively and with closed eyes), from top to bottom, diagonally, circular rotations clockwise and back. Also helps to "draw" eyes 8-ki or sign infinity (8-ka in a horizontal position). For convenience, you can follow the movement of the hands or fingers, without changing the position of the head. For example, the raised finger of an outstretched hand can be gradually brought closer to the nose, watching him with his eyes. Each eye movement is repeated 5 times. Another type of exercise allows you to strengthen the muscles by blinking or closing and opening the eyes with effort.

Exercises for the eyes, "computer forces", repeat more often: not 2 times a day, and every hour of work at the monitor. The effect of exercise can be strengthened by massage. When you close your eyes to relieve tension, you can massage the pads of your fingers around the area above the eyebrows, and also under the eye socket, in the direction from the nose to the temple.

Complete the set of exercises with deep and slow breaths and exhalations.

Exercise for the eyes takes a few minutes, but only thanks to it you can minimize the harm that is caused to the eyes due to the peculiarities of your work, because of bad habits (for example, reading in the dark), because of age and poor heredity. If the thought of glasses and operations scares you, take it as a rule to regularly train your eyes. Let the useful habit return you visual acuity, and relieve of numerous problems and exhausting treatment.
