In order to add to it the notes of the woody aftertaste, it is insisted in oak barrels, which give the color and aroma. The longer the rum is in the barrel, the more saturated the flavor is. The "light" rum is insisted on for a longer period (2-3 years), and the "old" is forced to stay in the cellars for more than three years, during which time it acquires its unrivaled aroma and rich amber hue.
