Designing in the senior group of paper: developing spatial and creative thinking

For the correct and harmonious development of the child, it is necessary to build an educational process on a variety of methods. For example, designing in the older group of paper is a mandatory occupation that promotes the development of artistic skills.

Goals, tasks, features of the process

Paper is a special material, because it can be crushed, twisted, torn, cut, bent. All these activities seem simple, but for the child they are quite complicated. In pedagogical practice this technique has been actively used for more than a year. Probably, many heard about such Japanese technique as origami, when through the creation of paper crafts a person reflects the world around him and expresses his attitude towards him. Another popular technique by Kirigami is a process where the paper is folded and cut in different directions.

Designing in the older group of paper is to create certain sculptures, combining various forms of material, and all this is done by children. During these processes, the following goals are achieved:

  • Development of spatial representation;
  • The ability to understand the techniques of work and demonstrate their knowledge;
  • Improvement of reproductive activity (that is, the creation of an article on the model, which is offered by the tutor);
  • Setting for the development of their own creative character.

How to start training?

The construction of paper for children is a process that should begin with an examination of the properties of the material. We need to tell the guys that the paper is soft or stiff, smooth or rough, of any color. With it you can perform various procedures: tear, crumple, cut and so on. For example, in the lesson, you can give the children paper, which will differ in thickness, color, texture. You can invite them to crumple or tear it, determine the sounds that are being issued, the changes taking place with paper, and so on.

Designing in the older group of paper, you can create with the children whole crafts and compositions. And from the lesson to the lesson you need to complicate tasks and maximize their diversity. So gradually the skills of independent creative design will develop. It is very important to motivate children, for example, to create crafts for a theatrical action on a certain topic or to make compositions from products made by different children.

As the studies of teachers show, designing in the older group of paper makes it possible to achieve excellent results. First, children learn to translate their fantasies on paper. Secondly, when solving a clearly stated task, they are forced to look for some unusual solutions, and for this we have to use different techniques, choose material that is different in texture or color. Any creative process gives an opportunity to encourage the child to act and invent, and this is a guarantee that he will form a certain vision of the world.

The plan for the "Circus Clown" class. Designing Of paper (senior group)

Objectives:

  • Continue to get acquainted with such techniques as creasing and tearing paper;
  • Show that they can be used both for creating parts and for a complete product;
  • Form the ability to correlate colors and sizes, depending on the purpose of the craft.

Preparation for the lesson

Each child to make paper: cigarette, tissue, toilet, corrugated in different colors and sizes, as well as a clown of cardboard (about 50 cm in height), a basket (height 15 cm).

Course of the lesson

To the music of V. Shainsky "Circus" appears the figure of a clown. The teacher asks the children who it is, what it does, where it can be found. Next is a game of riddles on the theme of the clown's clothing. Then the educator proposes to create clothes for the clown with his own hands from paper using different techniques. If children find it difficult to complete a task, they can help them. So in a game form, they learn that details are important for creating a holistic image, and you can make them yourself.
