D-panthenol, instructions for use

Along with baby cream, the most popular means for caring for babies is D-panthenol. Instructions for use, like the cream itself, should be in the arsenal of any young mother. D-panthenol is usually released in various forms. Often there is an ointment and a cream. In comparison with cream, the ointment contains a large amount of fat, its consistency is more dense and viscous, so it is often applied to dry skin. The cream is applied to the wetting surfaces and open wounds, it is easily absorbed and does not remain on the surface. In addition to cream and ointment D-panthenol can be found in the form of an aerosol and emulsion for external use. Aerosol can be useful for a large area of damage, or when applying cream causes unpleasant, painful sensations. D-panthenol candles are not available.

D-panthenol cream, instructions and pharmacological action:

Cream or ointment improves the regeneration of tissues, they are used for external use. Dexapanthinol, which is the main active substance, is a derivative of pantothenic acid. This acid is one of the components of coenzyme A and participates in fat and carbohydrate metabolism, in the processes of acetylation. It stimulates the metabolism of cells, accelerates the regeneration of the skin and mucous membranes. Pantothenic acid is necessary for the normal functioning of the epithelium. Ointment applied to the tissue, compensates for its local shortage in the place of damage to the skin. It accelerates mitosis, has an anti-inflammatory effect, increases the strength of collagen fibers and restores cellular metabolism
