Sergei Timofeev (nicknamed Sylvester) - a well-known criminal authority of the Russian history of perestroika times, the leader of the Orekhovo OPG, founded in 1986 in Moscow. He gained wide popularity with his hostile and radical attitude towards the participants and leaders of the Caucasian organized criminal groups.

Sergey Timofeev: biography

Born July 18, 1955 in the village of Klin, Novgorod region (USSR). He was a modest and inconspicuous boy, studied in a secondary school and worked part-time as a tractor driver in the collective farm of his native village. In his youth he actively took a great interest in sports: he regularly spent the morning jogging, practiced on horizontal bars, and dumbbells at home. At the age of 1-8, he joined the army, served in the Kremlin regiment in Moscow. In 1975, Sergei Timofeev was demobilized, and soon the guy decides to stay in the capital. Together with the best friend they are populated in a hostel in the vicinity of Orekhovo-Borisov district.

In Search of Yourself

Living in the "white stone", Timofeev began to get involved in the art of hand-to-hand combat, and soon began to work as a coach in the housing complex Glavmosstroy. Very soon Sergei marries and changes his place of residence. Now he lives on Shipilovskaya street. Soon, the future criminal authority Sylvester ends with the sport, but continues to maintain his physical strength in tone and in parallel engaged in private transportation. Realizing that working in this field, you will not make big money for living, Timofeev is looking for other ways of self-realization.

The beginning of criminal activity

In 1984-1985, Timofeev Sergey Ivanovich connects with the "nut" punks and organizes business - the guys are engaged in perpendicular. During this period Timofeev's criminal activity was launched. Being a powerful, physically trained and strict man, Sylvester actively involves other people in his gang. This included representatives of a lot of popular at the time illegal trades - auto hijackers, thimble, private cab drivers and many others. The gang from the southern outskirts of Moscow begins to quickly gain credibility and influence the entire capital. Here the fast-paced punks of Orekhovo-Borisov district are attracted, which was started by the younger brother of Timofeyev named Ivanych, Jr..

Law "On Cooperation" and the struggle against Caucasians

Gorbachev's law "On Cooperation", so to speak, "turned" the criminal group into a legal organization. The group consisted mainly of strong guys and former sportsmen (it is said that former members of the KGB and GRU joined the Sylvester gang). The main activity of Timofeev and his army of thugs was racketeering.

Timofeev Sergey Ivanovich (Sylvester) was extremely negative about "color" organized criminal groups. In the late 80's, Sylvester's brigade already had several serious conflicts with representatives of Chechen organized criminal groups, who quickly conquered the Moscow market "South Port". The leader of the "nuts" fought desperately and fearlessly with them. Ambitious Sylvester fought not only for a slice of a delicious criminal pie, but also "for the idea." According to unofficial data, this was respected by local law enforcement agencies.

In order to strengthen their positions and confidently eliminate Caucasians from the criminal world, Timofeev gets acquainted with the leader of the "Solntsevskaya" gang Sergey Mikhailov, nicknamed Mikhas. By uniting together, they waged a brutal war against the "colored" groups.

First imprisonment

In 1989, Timofeev Sergey Ivanovich, along with podelnikami Sergei Mikhailov, Victor Avernim and Yevgeny Lustarnov were arrested under the charge of extortion from the cooperative "Fund". During the investigation and proceedings, all but Timofeev could escape from imprisonment. Leader Orekhovskoy organized crime group Silvester three years.

According to some rumors Timofeev extorted money from the very Vladimir Kuzmin (Russian singer), who at that time was in a relationship with Alla Pugacheva. For the times of the late 80's and early 90's it was standard practice - every profitable activity should be "under the roof". It is not surprising, why some well-known entertainers are directly related to the authorities of the criminal world.

Activities of Sylvester and his team

Sergei Timofeev did not serve a full term, but only his half. In 1991 he went on parole on parole. Timofeev immediately continued his active criminal activities, and was soon able to unite the many small gangs operating in the Orekhovo-Borisov district of Moscow. The gang turns into a highly organized criminal structure, which subjugates many large institutions and organizations (nightclubs, cafes, restaurants, auto repair shops, repair services, etc.) in the South-West of Moscow. The activities of the Orekhovo group were unfolding with criminal wars against neighboring gangs, they sought to conquer as much of Moscow territory as possible.

Sergei Timofeev, nicknamed Sylvester, became known not only within the capital, but throughout the CIS. According to some unofficial data, there is information that Timofeev was offered to join the ranks of "thieves-in-law", but for unknown reasons Sylvester ignored this proposal from the "top" of the criminal world.

To the tops of the criminal hierarchy

Authoritative persons of the criminal world of the CIS began to be interested in the personality of Timofeev. So he happened to get acquainted with such famous thieves as Mishka Yaponchik, Petrov Alexey Dinarovich (nicknamed Petrik), Khachidze Jamal Konstantinovich (Jamal), Pavel Tsirul (Tsirul) and Otari Kvantrishvili. Friendship and joint business brought Sylvester to the top of the criminal conjuncture.

Now the opportunities of Sergei Timofeev have become even greater, he becomes a real Moscow "Don Juan". Big money and power integrate luxury and permissiveness into his life. To solve some of the conflicts, Sylvester could seek help from Izmailovo, Golyanovskaya, Taganskaya and Perovskaya OPG. In addition, Timofeev cooperated with criminal brigades from the Trans-Urals who provided him with their own land for business.

Custom Murders

In early 1992, he married Olga Zhlobinskaya and became a citizen of Israel. A little later, his wife, Olga, took up the post of general director of the Moscow Commercial Bank, in which the means of commerce of the all-Russia automobile alliance Boris Berezovsky were invested in 1994. As a result, the bank for a long time did not pay Berezovsky. In 1994, Timofeev unleashed a conflict with some authoritative leaders of Moscow criminal gangs, as well as with Caucasians. Purposeful Sylvester removed all the competitors who stood in his way. Subsequently, he began to show his interest in the oil business, because of which he had disagreements with Otari Kvantrishvili. The mutual goal of seizing the Tuapse Oil Refinery led Timofeev to order the murder of Kvantrishvili in 1994.

In 1993, Timofeev came into conflict with the Caucasian criminal authority named Globe. The thieves simultaneously pursued the same goal - to take possession of the property rights of the night club "Harlequin". According to the classics of the genre Timofeev decided to liquidate the rival, referring to the hired assassin Alexander Solonik.

In June 1994, an encroachment on the life of Boris Berezovsky himself was organized. The car of the oligarch was mined and blown up - the driver was killed, and Berezovsky himself got off with a moderate injury. This fact attracted the greatest interest from the press and the public. The president of the Russian Federation for the first time officially stated that there is a criminal "lawlessness" in Russia.

Sergei Timofeev Sylvester: the criminal authority exploded in his own car

September 13 in 1994 at 19-00 Moscow time, a Mercedes-Benz car was blown up, in which the leader of the "nut" ones was killed. According to the investigation, the car was loaded with explosives. The explosion itself was realized by means of a radio signal, when Timofeev used the services of cellular communication via a mobile phone.

It is still unknown who committed the attempt on Timofeev. There are many options and opinions that contradict each other. And this is not surprising, because Sergei Timofeev had a lot of enemies and ill-wishers.

Authority Sergey "Sylvester" Timofeev is buried in the Khovansky cemetery in Moscow.
