Circular from the Bulgarian with their own hands

The decision of a small Bulgarian to make a circular is an excellent option in terms of saving money. For the construction of a sufficiently effective tool, the skills of a professional locksmith are not required. Cope with the task in a serious approach to the matter can be with the help of improvised tools and materials. Let's find out how to make a circular from the Bulgarians?

Required materials and tools

How do I make a circular from a Bulgarian myself? This will require the following tools:

  • Actually the Bulgarian herself;
  • A circular circle;
  • Sheet metal (tin or zinc plating);
  • A set of fasteners (bolts, nuts, etc.);
  • Screwdrivers, pliers, wrenches;
  • Electric drill with metal drills;
  • Metal corners.

Next, consider the features of assembling a manual circular saw from a Bulgarian.

Manufacture of sliding stop

Manual circular from the grinder requires the creation of a sliding stop. As the last, it is most rational to use several metal corners that will be located on both sides of the saw blade. The lower edges of this structural element are recommended to be rounded, which will prevent them from clinging to surfaces that will be treated with a self-made circular.

The corners must be bolted at both ends. To achieve the optimum clearance, washers can be placed under the heads of the fasteners.

Further on the case of the Bulgarian should be fixed a metal yoke, the coupler of which should be located from the bottom. Here, a strip of metal is made, made of a folded sheet of steel or galvanized. The endings of the latter are connected with the fasteners located on the ends of the previously assembled sliding stops.

Preparing the gearbox

A circular from a Bulgarian requires the use of a serviceable gearbox. This mechanism is extracted from the tool, after which the optimal locations for drilling holes in the metal are determined. Such openings will be required for the installation of an axial handle of a self-made circular. Naturally, you can try to hold the instrument by the standard side holder of the grinder. However, the creation of even cuts will become extremely problematic. As practice shows, holding a self-made tool with a rotating circular disc turns out to be beyond the strength of even physically trained masters.

Axial handle

To create an axial handle that will hold the homemade tool in a stable position, it is best to use a metal bar or tube. At the ends of the billet holes are drilled, which will serve to attach the structural element to the reducer of the Bulgarian. The prepared axial handle is attached by means of fasteners to the mechanical part of the tool.

Adjusting rod

To make a self-made circular from the grinder allowed to regulate the depth of the cut, a special bar must be provided in the structure. A structural element is made of steel rod with a diameter of about 4-6 mm. One end of the workpiece is bent in the form of a loop, splashed and fixed by the front bolts of the stop from the corners.

A thread is created on the tail part of the rod, which later will enter a special adjusting opening on the handle of the tool. Before installing the rod on its thread, put on one nut. After the tail of the element is threaded into the hole on the handle, the second nut is screwed on. Due to the tightening and loosening of the mentioned fasteners on the thread, the depth of the cut is controlled in the course of the operation of the self-made circular.

How to make a stationary circular saw from a Bulgarian?

The main difference between the construction of a manual and a stationary tool is the presence of a bed. The works are performed in the following order:

  1. A special table is prepared, which is covered with a sheet of galvanizing or sheet metal. To fix the selected material on the plane, it is enough to pull it around the edges of the table with metal corners. The basis on which the mechanical part of the instrument will be installed must be as stable as possible. Otherwise, swaying will lead to inaccurate sawing of materials. In addition, fluctuations in the table can be traumatic.
  2. According to safety requirements, the circular disc should not protrude to a third of its diameter above the plane of the table. Therefore, to cut a wooden block with a thickness of about 10 cm, a cutting circle measuring 35 cm in size is needed.
  3. Stationary circular from the Bulgarian must be made on the basis of a sufficiently productive engine. Here it is necessary to use the engine from the grinder with a power of at least 1 kW.
  4. The basis of the adjustable stop is a metal corner with a length of 7-8 cm. This element is superimposed on the table and fixed with bolted connections.
  5. Stationary circular from the Bulgarian suggests the creation of a shaft. The latter is recommended to be purchased in ready-made form, since with its self-sharpening there can be critical errors. Choose a shaft that contains fasteners to securely fix the circular disk.
  6. As a transfer, a V-belt drive will serve.

If necessary, the circular from the grinder with their own hands can be made on the basis of a more powerful engine removed from the old washing machine. In general, the choice of the engine here is limited only by the estimated power of the future tool, which must be obtained at the output.

Safety measures for the operation of self-made circulars

Before you start a self-made circular saw, it is worth taking measures that will avoid injuries. If a hand tool is designed, its start button should be located away from the rotating cutting blade. In the case of a stationary saw, the table, on which the mechanical part is located, must first be screwed to the floor.

When operating such a potentially dangerous device as a self-made circular saw, it is necessary to observe elementary vigilance. First of all, you should never be on the same line with a rotating disk. After all, the latter can jump off the shaft when recruiting critical revolutions. Also, do not put hands too close to it, which should be no closer than 20 cm from the cutting element.

Serve the wood to the circular disc by using wooden bars. Advancement of blanks with their bare hands is fraught with serious injuries when jumping unexpectedly or splitting the material.
