In addition, brown coal is mined in the quarries of the Moscow region. For example, in Zaoksky areas. Known are the quarries in Serebryanoprudsky and Serpukhov districts, which are rich in iron ores, as well as titanium.

Eganovskoe deposit is a source of quartz sand. They are covered with morainic clays, alluvial loams, and sandstones with different grains throughout the terrain. This layer reaches up to 7 m.
