Antihistamine ointments

The manifestation of allergic reactions, which bring discomfort to our life, can be the most diverse. These symptoms can be cough and runny nose, as well as various rashes and swelling of the skin and mucous membranes. The very appearance of these pathologies is associated with the production of biologically active substances by the body, leading to allergic reactions. The most active of them is histamine.

To get rid of unpleasant symptoms pharmacological industry produced drugs that affect the metabolic processes. These drugs are able to prevent or eliminate the symptoms of an allergic reaction due to the neutralization of histamine. There are many such means. They are united in the general group of antihistamines. The form of their release is diverse. Antihistamines can be in the form of tablets and capsules, syrups and candles, creams and ointments. Injections are also produced.

For topical use, antihistamine ointments are used. Their choice is great, but before applying any of them you need a specialist consultation. There are antihistaminic ointments produced on the basis of natural substances. These include the cream "Gystan". This drug is made with the addition of a natural antihistamine, contained in a thin birch bark. The composition of the ointment makes it possible to use it for patients suffering from intolerance to drugs, when the use of chemicals is impossible. The main active component of Gistan is betulin, which is capable of:

- to show anti-allergic and anti-inflammatory effect;

-to provide antioxidant protection of the body;

-to manifest immunomodulatory properties.

Betulin is an adaptogen, an antimutagen and an oncoprotectant. The extract of birch buds, which is contained in the cream, has an antipruritic effect. It removes irritation and redness of the skin, and also has an antifungal effect. It is able to reduce inflammatory processes. Lily of the valley, lupine, string, violet, calendula - all these components that make up the cream soften the skin, promote its rapid healing, soothe and strengthen the walls of the vessels.

Antihistamine ointments are used for skin itching and hives, allergic rashes on the skin. In addition, they are recommended for bites of various insects, eczema, psoriasis, photodermatitis and bladder manifestations.

Antihistamine cream "Ketopin" differs complex composition. It has anti-inflammatory, antiseptic and disinfectant effect, and also helps to eliminate itching, flaking and crusting on the skin. In its composition, the ointment does not contain hormones, which allows not to inhibit the processes of tissue healing. Ketopine is non-toxic and has analgesic, antioxidant and antimicrobial effects.

Recommended use of this cream for allergic and contact dermatoses, dermatoses, bites of various insects, light burns obtained in the sun and thermally, eczemes of microbial, mitotic and seborrheic manifestations.

Antihistamine ointments are superimposed a thin layer on the lesion of the skin and rubbed with light movements. The procedure is carried out once a day. If necessary, the ointment can be used two to three times a day. The course of treatment is one month.

Contraindications to the use of antihistamine ointments is the individual sensitivity to the components that make up them. When the dosages are exceeded, a slight increase in the coagulability of the blood is possible. Ointments can be used in combination with other medicines.
